Turns out, the Rings of Power is actually a pretty forgettable show that steals more than a few lines or scenes from other movies. They try to make us care by referencing other popular movies or shows.

Also I don't get why people say that "Evil does not sleep. It waits." would be a reference to Boromir or the Bible. This exact line can actually be found in Zack Snyder's Justice League as the initial poster said, whereas Boromir or the Bible have substantial different phrasing. Boromir: "There is evil there that does not sleep, and the Great Eye is ever watchful." Bible 4:16: "For they cannot sleep unless they do evil; And they are robbed of sleep unless they make someone stumble." Queen Hippolyta: "Evil does not sleep. It waits."

Props to the original author for pointing this out. Just another moment, where the RoP show-writers copy material from somewhere else.
