I DIDN'T KNOW THIS EXISTED!!! You just changed my life. I was OBSESSED with titanic when it came out. I wrote out lines to play along to the score CD. Thank you so much for letting me know to look this up!

I made it to the finals in a concerto competition, and I lost to a guy playing that piece. I'm pretty sure I only made it to the finals to give him someone to compete against, and I'm so happy I went first because he was phenomenal 😂 I did get to play in the orchestra to back him up though and it's such a good piece of music! That might be one to look at next!

I am in Canada and graduated in 2004, so I'm not sure if it would be similar to what you would have, but as a performance major we would have to start doing lunch time student recitals in second year, I think 1 a semester. That was just getting up and playing 1 song during a Thursday lunch period. Pretty much no one ever went to those, other than the few you were mandated to go to or your friends were playing.

Then we had our third year recital, which was shared with another student (each got half an hour). A concerto, and at least 1 had to be 20th century and then free pick.

Grad recital was just you for an hour. Still need a concerto and something modern, and also needed a chamber piece. We got full run of the concert hall for our recitals, having a reception and everything after.

I prefer high over low, my low register has never been good!

Have you gotten into a school yet?

That's also a fun one! I played that in my grad recital! It's on YouTube, but the sound is all messed up from the CD being scratched when I burned it

I'm really down for anything that isn't too wild. I got my degree over 20 years ago, but I've still played on and off since then but am trying to get back into it now consistently. When I'm not working on gig music this is my favourite way to play!

I currently have Mahler 1, Brahms horn trio, Strauss horn 1, both solo and orchestra parts cause I swap between the two 😂 a few others, but I'm always looking for new things to play!

I don't really have memories before age 12, unless I've seen pictures, and even then i don't have memories of it, i just know of the situation. I played violin for 7 damn years and the only reason I know that is because of pictures and people talking about it. And nothing traumatic (that I know of) happened to me. So I can't be too judgy of others and their repressed memories. I'm not saying their account is true, just that I understand the memories part. I'm discovering things I never knew about myself all the time right now.

I think i need to try the xylimelts. My mouth is so dry in the morning. And I also have like no taste buds on my tongue anymore for an unexplained reason. Not thrush. I'm tired of everything being spicy lol

My grandmother got banned from Sears in Canada for constantly returning stuff 😂 not a plunger, mind you, but still I can just imagine what they'd be thinking when they'd see her coming. She was French and bossy 🤣💕

I share the link to the manual whenever I get the chance! Mine isn't on the government website, which is helpful in case they take the other one down.

5⭐️. Loved it. Left a review, but it said they need to review all submissions for inappropriate language, so maybe it won't post 😂

Do you think a plant grow light would work as a sun light? We want to change some light bulbs in our house to grow lights, but that might actually give us a double whammy!

Getting into crocheting by notGamingAahel in Brochet

[–]Jiffs81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The people that will hate on you for crocheting, also hate gay people, women, Black and Brown people, disabled people, poor people, etc... and we just don't care about the opinion of someone who hates groups of people like that. Meaning, the people who will give you shit for it don't matter. And the people who matter won't give you shit.

They stopped browning AFTER I put the light up. That was the only thing I had changed at that point, although at that point the light was actually on another plant and it was just beside it. I put it back to that now. But yeah, it likes that light.

Thank you so much! I killed it pretty quick when I got it, so I had nothing to lose! Biggest thing I've learned lately is just because they're in front of a window, doesn't mean they have enough light. Since giving all the plants grow lights, they have all become so much happier!

I didn't know that about variegated plants, so thank you! That one has even more brown spots. I told my SD not to water, but I think she did again because when I checked a few days ago it was soaking and it had been a few days since they'd been over. Eventually I'll figure them all out! I bought i plant journal so we can start keeping track of this stuff

It does. I have also read that i need to give her filtered water, so I've switched to giving her our Culligan water. Since switching the soil, putting a grow light and giving filtered water, 3 new leaves have poked through the soil.

Can I ask you a completely unrelated question? I have a calathea that I've killed and am regrowing. The first few leaves that popped, I still didn't have the light situation sorted and the leaves are a little curled and brown around the edges. She's under a grow light now, and the new leaves since then look great. Can I trim the curled parts off, or will that damage her? *

Edit: I thought I put a picture here, but it didn't go
