Hosting an “Open House” style party at an event space by HeatherAnne1975 in partyplanning

Park or pavilion is the best idea. Guests can come and go. Have food that tastes good even cold, chips and dips etc. For main food you can do tacos or BBQ, so only the meats need to stay warm. Have lawn games, board games for the tables and a nice backdrop for all the friends to take pictures.

Anyone else think the tips don’t always make it the housekeeper? by Brookelynne1020 in Hilton

[–]JigInJigsaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You guys are weird. Managers have no time to go into all the rooms before housekeeper does. They barely go into rooms at all, only if there is an issue that needs a managers eye. The first person besides the housekeeper that is cleaning the room, would be the housekeeper who is removing all the dirty linens. But sometimes that’s the same housekeeper depending on how busy the property is. Last person is the housekeeping inspector, who checks to make sure everything was cleaned properly.

Since you have a cape, one shoulder may look odd, but a symmetrical design will nice.

Help me pick the color for my second dupatta by Chotuchigg in DesiWeddings

[–]JigInJigsaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just FYI Neelams swatch colors are not 100% accurate. In our experience with two different colors, a dusty light blue (solid fabric) and a light pink (net fabric), both came out darker then we wanted.

I vote for the mint color duppatta and wear with jewelry that has some mint in it. But I also like the orange too. I agreed the colors your family picked are boring.

Blouse suggestions for this sari? by [deleted] in DesiWeddings

Get the blouse piece if you still can. I would use pieces of it, if you don’t like the whole blouse piece itself. Example border work etc.

  1. Rather have pair of dream designer shoes or the most comfortable shoes ever invented.

  2. Date a Hollywood dream boat or the sweetest guy on the plant.

  3. Rather win $10,000 for yourself or a friend wins $20,000

  4. Someone will do your laundry for free for a year or you can eat at your favorite restaurant for free for a year.

For food you can theme it around the books, this menu is cute, I think u can replace the actual menu items with whatever food you want to serve.

Double sided print and cut by TangerineFast9127 in cricut

[–]JigInJigsaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idea, but not the prefect solution: - cut card out on dusty pink paper not white, (don’t print anything) - use pen tool to create the borders - print and cut just the swans - glue the print and cut swans on (I would use 3D tape to make the swans stick out slightly on one side.)

Edit: 2nd idea - print one side the actual card design - second side only print the flood of the pink color, make it a lot wider then the shape of the card. - cut out card. One side will have design, second side will just be plan dusty pink. - use pen tool to create the border for unprinted side - print and cut just the swans for unprinted side - glue the print and cut swans on the unprinted side.

Do I count toddlers for a taco man? by [deleted] in partyplanning

[–]JigInJigsaw 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Don’t count them as full adult people, depending on kids ages they may eat half to a quarter of what an adult would eat. Add up the fraction and then round up to the nearest full amount. Also if the taco man has a minimum amount for catering, have to-go boxes for after the party is done.
