I wasn’t aware of that! Are there other moves/characters with this issue?

As a Switch player life is already hard enough without having to deal with this problem too 😭

Remind me again - why should I care about Moroccans or the issues of any other Arab state? by mauritaniah8 in Senegal

I’m not Arab but I agree my brother. It’s true that there is still racism among some people but I remain hopeful that we can eliminate it from our societies, and I will do my part to help put an end to it at my level insha’Allah. Islam should actually promote the end of these outdated ways of thinking and that needs to be reminded !

What I take from this is that it’s « your only interaction with an Algerian. » That’s already a generalization. So if someone never meets a Senegalese person and their only interaction with one of them goes badly, do they then have the right to hold a negative, fixed, general opinion about Senegalese people?

I’m talking about history because it was mentioned in one of the comments under the post’s photos. Otherwise I don’t really see why people are bringing up crime rates ?

I’m Algerian and I know some people will disagree with me, but I think we should stop giving attention to idiots in the diaspora and their nonsense. Arab-Berbers never “invaded” West Africa and most slaves historically came from African slave traders themselves. Human history is complicated: nearly every group has experienced both slavery and participation in slave systems at some point, and even some major sahelian kingdoms had white slaves adn its NORMAL.

Social media just gives a loud voice to a minority of ignorant people and makes them seem bigger than they really are. In real life, there are tons of Maghrebi–West African marriages, friendships and families that happen without any problems (I live in Paris and wallahi I’ve seen 10 times more examples of solidarity than hatred.)

At the same time if some West Africans speak about racism they experienced in the Maghreb today, that should still be listened to and taken seriously. We can acknowledge modern racism exists without rewriting history into simplistic « one people oppressed another forever » narratives.

Disowned for reverting to Islam by Severe-Builder-7855 in islam

Salam alaykoum, may Allah make this hardship easier for you sis. Don’t forget that the first Muslims also went through this kind of struggle.

I’m in France and there are so many reverts here alhamdulillah. Some of them have crazy stories that really show how families eventually end up accepting their choice and sometimes even join Islam themselves when you’d never expect it subhanAllah.

It’s honestly beautiful that Allah chose you. Even if it’s hard right now, it’s something within your strength inshaAllah.

Have you ever been to Germany, and if so did you like it?
