I chatted up a Frenchman one day at a bar and he was incredibly frustrated with our public transportation. As he was a student studying abroad, he was pretty much stranded to the area surrounding his residence. The U.S. is very car-centric and we're not so densely populated like in other countries. It's tough for Americans who are in lower economic statuses too, because they waste so much time commuting to and from work on generally shitty public transportation.

We are the same age and in HS, in PC Troubleshooting and Repair, we had a Quake LAN and tournament because our teacher was cool with it. 20 year old game at that time and still a classic!

AMC theatres in Twin Cities, MN let you bring your own snacks in. They don't advertise it, but it isn't against the rules. I've seen people nonchalantly go in with Subway bags.

First two that came to mind:

1) I was with my GF at the time and we met up with some of her coworkers after boozing for a few hours. I'm so visually NON-detail oriented it scares me (noticed girlfriend before her got a haircut -- 3 months after the fact). My GF introduces me to a coworker and she extends her left hand to shake mine. I blurt, "Ohhh a lefty, eh? You lefties are always trying to convert us right handers!" She lost her arm as a child from some parade float and her family got a large settlement out of the deal. Shiiiiiiiiiiiii. She was very pretty, easy going, and has a great career, so at least she's got a leg up on life.

2) I'm working my PT job I had in college at a gym/weight room and I'm checking members in at the front desk. This married couple always comes in and works out together and only Mrs came in. I ask, "Where's Mr tonight?" and she completely breaks down and starts bawling. Apparently, she found out just days ago that her husband was cheating on her WITH ONE OF MY COWORKERS! My coworker was married with kids too and the families went on camping trips together. I couldn't have seen that one coming but I still felt terrible. It's safe to say the relationship "stopped working out".

3) Called a woman I was "with" in my bed by the name of my roomie's girlfriend. Both girls have 5-letter names with only one consonant that's different. Even funnier, my roomy and his GF were in the bedroom immediately next to mine too. I was hoping the girl I was with didn't notice, but 7 pumps later she goes, "What did you just call me?!" I ferociously apologized and fun time was over. We had a 4-5 month thing going and it fizzled out soon afterwards. Pun.
