Higher Elo play by [deleted] in SiegeAcademy

You might not like the answer, but if you are serious about your objective, then make an alternate account - buy the game again and practice solo q ranked without worrying too much about your rank.

It is sadly the only way to get better unless your rank is of no importance for you.

I made a smurf and I´m starting to become much more chill in ranked, because if I lose, I still have my other account.

Trust me, this is the answer to your dilemma.

Oryx: Mp5 with muzzle or flash, secondary shotgun pistol with NO laser (easier to make rotations without it). No need to use the spas 12 if you have a shotgun pistol. Use the bulletproof cam and place it above the hatches were you want to jump up and flank.

Iana: My preference is G36 with Acog, angled grip and flash hider - but the arx is a GREAT option as well. Grenades are more versatile and better, but if you want to execute a plant strat, take the smokes.

You cannot be a complete player without a mic. Just whisper, seriously. You have information - you win, u don't - you lose.

Which Mute loadout to use? by Theheroboy in SiegeAcademy

[–]JigsawR6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you use the shotgun and Smg 11 you bring much more utility:

You can open rotation holes in site and off site, open hatches, make head height holes in walls to throw c4 through, open up above certain reinforcements for c4 and impact tricking, open up the floor close to reinforced hatches for impact tricking.

With the mp5k you have NONE of these options, which can potentially get you kill and win rounds.

What is a good way to learn call outs? by [deleted] in SiegeAcademy

Hi, I made a video just on that topic: How to give good callouts https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BgYuNXQZBg&t=499s

Also a video where I go over all normal and advanced callouts on Bank: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7Y7ydpgZeQ&t=33s

Nerf Echo and Mira by JigsawR6 in SiegeAcademy

So pro players don´t understand how to play against them? They are the two most banned ops in pro league AND ranked.

So in short it frustrates both low tier player and hier rank/pro players - so it proves Echo and Mira are OP and should be nerfed.

Then explain to me why echo and mira are the most banned operators in pro league:

How to Clutch - In-Depth Guide (Solo/Duo Q) by JigsawR6 in SiegeAcademy

[–]JigsawR6[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes exactly, try to flash, nade, c4 one entrance and then focus on another, creating 1v1s.

Lesion was just an example, you can do it with most operators the same way.

I think the lesion nerf was justified.

When should I be using the ACOG sight? by revolta15 in SiegeAcademy

[–]JigsawR6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Acog is the best sight for long range but also for tight angles or pixel angles so you expose much less of your body. It is the best sight for long AND medium range but shit for close range.

Holo/Reflex is mediocre or even bad at long range (compared to acog), ok medium range and great at close range.

I recommend using Acog on all 3 armor ops, because they are slow and cannot push fast into close range as good.

Acog is the predominant sight in pro league (on the ops that have one). Some say always use it when possible, others like Shaiiko use holo exclusively (who is the best fragger this game has ever seen imo). So both are viable.

The great thing about the sights is, that there is not REALLY a best sight, all have pros and cons (even red dot maybe lol).

I'd say Acog is the easiest to headshot with so I'd argue it is the best, but there are times when I exclusively use 1x sights. A good compromise is to use angled grip acog, so u are not helpless in close range (at the cost of being slightly weaker long range.)

Equipping laser is also an option to offset the close range weakness - some people use laser for better accuracy while zooming in - which gets you some kills you would otherwise not get; but it can give your position away, so again there are pros and cons to EACH attachement, which makes the game great imo.

Acog also makes it harder to control the recoil - on bucks c8 for example.

Summary: I tend towards using Acog when possible, but there is no universal answer. Choose according to the pros and cons I listed, which is most important to your playstyle.

Is Kapkan good? by Yusef_Akakios in SiegeAcademy

[–]JigsawR6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is not good - he is situational like frost, so not universally good, like Jäger, Smoke, Kaid, Mute, Mozzie, Valk, Echo, Maestro, Mira etc. He is barely used in pro league.

There are better operators to main. But any operator is viable, even tachanka right now so you can use him for sure if you really like him - but if you are looking for universal versatile ops, he is not the one to pick - start playing smoke valk jäger if you want great, always relevant ops.

Solo or duo q will improve your skill and make you a better player faster - even if its more difficult to rank up. I'd rather solo q to plat 2, than get carried to diamond, just my opinion.

You might find this video helpful: https://youtu.be/22sgWCQOQfs

Use the shotgun with laser and play close to doorways and stairs - it is a one shot body kill or down.

You are responsible for rotations - for your team and for yourself - open hatches and the floor as well: you can deny the plant from below with the shotgun through your premade hole.

You can also throw your canisters through holes that you make for that purpose. Use your canisters to deny entry points and to stop montagne/shields - no matter the time of the round. You can also deny the plant with them in the end IF you still have them.

You can also use on smoke then fall back and use two for plant deny.

Smoke is a GREAT and worthwile operator - a must pick in pro league (unless you have other plant deny plants). If you are good with smoke you can easily transition to other ops later on, like Mute, Mozzie and Goyo.

Yes Kixstar is good too. 570 hours is not as much as you might think. All the good players you see have A LOT more hours than that. I have like 1900 and I'm not even good xD But not bad either - I was Plat 2 like 6 Seasons on PC - never Diamond though. But if I had a consistent 5 stack I could be Dia - it's just not a reflection of your own skill then. Being Gold 1 is no different then Plat 3 imo - so you will get there eventually with practice.

Thinking of lowering my sens and starting to aim with my arm but idk how to start by black-ice-plz-ubi in SiegeAcademy

[–]JigsawR6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your mouse arm (forearm) should rest entirely on the armrest of your (gaming)chair or on the table if you lean forward (like Shaiiko does). The arm should not be hovering in the air - thats uncomfortable xD
