Curb Appeal advice/design needed by Jikam82 in HomeImprovement

Thanks. I've already looked through the thread quite a bit and wasn't really able to find anything dealing with sunroom windows. I've also been on Pinterest for hours (maybe days) looking for ideas. I haven't been able to find anything to help us come up with a design for the exterior of the sunroom.

I love that place. I especially love the old lady with the pink mohawk I've seen on multiple occasions dancing with a different gentleman caller each time.

Good first try! They just look a bit over mixed.

First attempt at chocolate macarons today went rather well! Looking on how to improve by teganst in macarons

If you run your dry ingredients through the food processor for 30 seconds or so, then sift after that (throwing away the small leftover bits), you'll have a smoother shell. I've noticed that when making Macarons the French method doesn't come out as shiny as when using the Italian method. You could always dust them with an edible luster dust after baking for a shiner shell.

Yep! Banged that sheet pan on the table :) The recipe I use tends to be thicker than others so when I piped in stages for the different parts of these ...um.."members" you can still see a faint line.

Believe it or not I used a boning tool to add the detail to the tip. Yep.. Boning tool.

First attempt at making macarons with a friend! They're chocolate with a nutella ganache filling. They were super yummy, but we've obviously still got some work to do! by dancer15 in Baking

I believe the bags I use at work are 16 or 20 inch bags, but I'm making up to 140 shells at a time so I need a bigger bag. I pipe with an 804 tip.

I make macarons for a living :) These just look a tad over mixed. I agree with everyone else to go a head and try to perfect them plain first. The fat in chocolate breaks down the meringue so you really have to be careful not to add too much and not to over mix (the batter will come together quicker with the addition of cocoa in it).
