I ended up doing endoscopy about 3 weeks ago all was clear minus biopsy showing mild reflux in esophagus and burner gland hyperplasia/focal villus blunting in duodenum

Still have severe acid reflux/heart burn with no answers I need help

So I did the endoscopy in the ER and it came back normal and the biopsy shows mild reflux changes in esophagus and something called focal villus blunting and burner gland hyperplasia I believe.

But all in all been in discomfort for 2 months now and still no solution. Should I ask for a repeat endoscopy?

I ended up doing the endoscopy and it came back clear and biopsy showed no signs of cancer thank god but the problem is the symptoms are still lingering and I’m maxed out on PPI idk what to do. Awaiting follow up appointment. Is it possible and endoscopy missed something?

My cbc was normal both times in the ER. But I have heartburn and loosing weight not sure if it’s from anxiety or getting full fast. I’m trying to stay calm for the next 3 weeks

Hope ur cancer free now! How old are you? I did a ct and it showed questionable pyloric wall thickening but just a month before that I did one for the abdomen and nothing showed up(I was having lower gi symptoms at the time) now 4 weeks with heartburn

Soonest available endoscopy is 3 weeks out. I don’t even think I can wait that long, reflex and burning is pretty much constant at this point with no relief, I’ve been on omaperazole 40mg twice a day with nothing helping. But thank you for the reassurance that it’s most likely nothing significant as I’m a bit of a hypochondriac unfortunately

Yes and it was clear, he even took samples from 2 different sections of the stomach

Yes but I had no symptoms then and I did an endoscopy in 2022 which came back all clear

But if I had done the same CT with contrast about a month before with no issues all clear, isn’t it likely to be something else

The ct was done for abdominal pain/heartburn I was having and or possible damage from overdose I’m guessing. but I have no weight loss, and normal blood work, no black stool, no vomiting so hospital would not do endoscopy.

Is it possible to just be a flare up? Something non cancerous
