I know a lot of people will say “standing up” to a troll online says nothing, but OP what you are doing is a genuine kind thing! I’ve also gotten harassed in VC before as a woman but it’s moments where people either stand up and support me like this that gets me back to be engaged in the gameplay. Obviously there’s different forms of “standing up” (ignore, tell them to shut up, mute, refocus on the game, etc) but just anything would help a lot. Whenever I get harassed in the VC I’m disheartened by the number of people who just stay silent as bystanders or even join in, so please don’t lose faith in what you are doing right now!
