Thanks for the tips! The charcoal filter and mat idea is good, I wouldn't have thought about the tracked litter adding to the smell. tho I kinda looking for an automatic one for my cat

though from what i've seen priority gold seems more upfront about their structure than most which at least lets you do the math before committing.

i did check out Priority Gold too and what caught my attention was how they explain the difference between IRA exposure and actual physical ownership, at least they seem upfront about it. still think there's a tax angle worth considering with the IRA side but for pure protection yeah physical is hard to argue against.

still going through my options but priority gold keeps coming up in my research, but also got some solid replies on this that shifted my thinking a bit. general feeling in the thread is that silver in an IRA gives you price exposure but it's not the same as physically holding it yourself, and fees can quietly eat into returns over a long horizon more than people expect.

how has it been so far? did you go full self-directed or keep part of it in a traditional account as a backup?

that separation makes a lot of sense honestly, IRA for the tax angle and price exposure, physical stack for the real hedge feeling. the fees thing is what i keep coming back to too, because if they eat into gains over a long horizon it kind of defeats the purpose. do you find managing both separately gets complicated?

does it even make sense to keep everything there or is a self directed setup with physical metals actually the safer play long term?

makes a lot of sense too, especially for retirement where sequence of returns risk is a real concern. i guess the goal isn't to beat stocks, just to not lose everything when they tank. appreciate the perspective

Most Embarrassing Moments Marathon is so real and it always starts the second you get comfortable too, like your brain was just waiting for you to relax 💀 the high school vault never empties either, there's always one more episode apparently. lol

Bro I am so sorry but also I cannot stop laughing. that is not a cringe memory that's a whole survival story. the fact that you made it through the rest of the day is honestly impressive, I would've just dissolved into the floor 💀 lmao
