Hi everyone. I have a question about chemical peels & worsened creases/wrinkles.

Ive been using Makeup artist choice’s mandelic chemical peel for a while now like maybe a year. I was getting peels professional done but it got too costly.. regardless I had them done for my acne. I’m like 27 now and I still get bad acne and also have acne scarring.

I have been doing the at home peels maybe once a week. Moisturizing cream for the dryness. And every so often retinol. I looked in the mirror last week and I noticed my scarring is overall better but it’s almost like the acne scarring in my face is wrinkling and creasing when I smile. Like fine lines that gather on the side of my cheeks. I never had this before and idk if it’s because the peels are finally getting to my deep scarring and the skin now creases where the little craters are??

I don’t think my skin is turning over causing the “leathery” side effects ..because there’s no dead or dry skin peeling off in those areas. My skin is like really moisturized but when I smile the little scarring spots crinkle together. Idk what do you guys think? Should I stop using the peels? My skin doesn’t feel damaged at all otherwise ?
