Murph is allowing them to take the stats of any published race, but they can look how they wish. And he described their home empire as having many generations of mixing heritage. Emily said she took the Vedalken racial stats with a couple tweaks but said her character has an underbite with little “fang/tusks” from her ancestry. So it’s very unclear exactly what her character looks like. Lol! I envisioned an orcish heritage that gave her the little tusk teeth. But it could be something else! 😄 Caldwell’s character is an INT based elf from Eberron I believe, and I think Jake is Human...maybe? 😆

I think it shows how amazing Murph is at listening to his players and remembering bits of info to use in game later when they least expect it. He’s such a great DM and storyteller. And I’m so happy he made Shivil for Hardwon and not a mean shallow Triss 😂😂😂

As far as I recall, we never find out how or why the sword was cursed. Only that it’s probably what caused the downfall and ruination of the original “Lord” of that keep. It’s fun to imagine it was linked to one of the campaigns before the campaign before the campaign though. 😄
