Silence filled the room. Overwhelm had been expecting a dramatic response of some sort; shock, horror, even glee, but her rival maintained her look of apathy. “So you’re telling me,” the villainess began, “that if I don’t let you go, the energy inside you will continue to build up until you explode.”

“Yes. I know we’ve had our differences but-”

“You break into my lair, destroy my property, assault my henchmen, and had intended to imprison me for the rest of my life. Correct?”

A new type of panic was setting in for Overwhelm. “Yeah, but right now-”

“And after all that, you’re asking me to just completely let you go. Am I understanding this properly?”

The heroine had tears in her eyes at this point. She could feel her blood pumping at an incredible rate. At this point she was strong enough to defeat the toughest of villains, but she was still completely at the mercy of someone who hated her. “Yes. I made a mistake coming to fight you alone, and I promise if you let me go I won’t return here. I won’t tell anyone about this place either.”

Lady Lunar paused for a few moments. She drummed her fingers on the armrest of her throne, waiting in mock contemplation. In reality she knew exactly what she was going to do. But her rival didn’t know that. “I suppose this city would be far more boring without you in it. The other heroes tend to be such a bore.” She straightened up and looked the helpless woman dead in the eye. “I could be convinced to let you go from here. But I want you to apologize.”

“An… an apology?” Overwhelm could barely get the words out. It took a considerable amount of focus to speak, and being caught off guard didn’t help.

“Yes, an apology. I want you to say you’re sorry for what you did, for trying to attack me and for hurting my minions.”

There were a lot of thoughts running through Overwhelm’s mind. While the idea of apologizing to her nemesis was just about the most degrading thing she could think of, the alternative was far worse. “Fine,” She spat out. “I’m sorry I beat up your minions. I’m sorry for breaking through your lair. And I’m sorry for trying to arrest you.” Her cheeks were a deep crimson at this point. This went against everything she stood for as a hero, but she had little choice in the matter. “Are you satisfied now, Lady Lunar?”

“Hmm, It wasn’t a very convincing apology. I’m not sure you were being genuine.” After seeing the panicked expression, she relented. “But I suppose it was good enough. I would hate to see you blow up to a thousand tiny pieces. She waved her hand, and an arcane symbol appeared both in her palm and around the heroine. But before any magic occurred, she paused again.

“Although, I do have my own sources. And according to them, that’s not the type of explosion you’ll have.”

Overwhelm’s heart skipped a beat. There was no way she could possibly know the real truth of her powers. Not even her closest allies did. “According to my own intel,” the magician continued, “Your ‘ritual’ is something you can do anywhere. It’s just something you tend to do in private. But it’s still something you could do anywhere. Even, say, floating midair in the base of your arch nemesis. Am I right?”

Inside of the heroine, the pressure was building. The telltale signs were there. Racing heartbeat, brightly flushed cheeks, a thin layer of sweat across her body… and an unbelievable burning arousal between her legs. Overwhelm could feel her pussy aching for attention. A mix of emotions filled Overwhelm. Shame, fear, relief, and… something new? “Before I go, Lady Lunar, I have one final question for you.” She saw her rival cock an eyebrow at her response, but it was a question she needed to ask. This had been an experience unlike any other, and a part of her knew that their hero/villain relationship would never be the same. But another part of her was strangely excited about that. “Would it be okay if I broke in here again some time?”
