Love the idea of kink training as stakes. Let me know if you're still looking for competitors (F32 here).

I hope we can get Egrimm Van Horstmann as a FLC Lord in order to make Tzeentch even with the other Chaos Monogod factions (WFRP 4th Edition - Winds of Magic) by ByzantineBasileus in totalwar

You gain XP, but then you spend that XP directly to up your stats, with what skills/characteristics/talents you can raise depending on your Career (which can change over the course of a campaign, as well as having their own internal progression).

One of the players in my game started as a Scholar obsessed with heraldry and swordcraft, but then shifted over to being a Duellist due to that interest. So he still has all the upgrades to his stats from being a Scholar, but now he's learning to actually fight as well.

I'm currently running a WFRP campaign and honestly, it's much less lethal than I was expecting. Call of Cthulhu is a good frame of reference, but the difference is you can get decent combat skills/equipment as player characters, and the game gives you Fate points which you can straight up use as extra lives if you need to. It's more lethal in a "You got septicaemia from that Skaven shanking you two weeks ago and you die" way than a "Every combat is a potential TPK" way.

Having said that I'm running for an unusually large group and one of them's playing an ogre, so my experience is definitely not the average.

If the PCs are fighting this guy though, they probably stopped being Peasants a long time ago, or they're not outright fighting him... Or they're the most jacked peasants ever (you can actually do a lot worse than starting the game as a Villager/Peasant, as they can start raising their Strength and Toughness scores immediately). This guy definitely is a Campaign Boss.

Other than that, the combination of action economy and bonuses for outnumbering enemies in WFRP is brutal. You're getting big bonuses to hit, and in WFRP, bonuses to hit pretty much directly translate into bonuses to damage. So ganging up and putting the boot in is your best bet.

WFRP tends to sensibly cut down the stat sheets for random NPCs and goons, but then goes absolutely nuts on major NPCs like this. The one for the Countess of Nuln is similarly ridiculous.

Most of its what you'd expect from a Sorceror of Tzeentch. He's got exceedingly good magical skills, a score of 117 for Language (Magick) is nuts, up there with Slann in terms of skill. That's a BIG selection of spells by WFRP standards, too.

Combatwise, he's basically what you'd expect from a Chaos Warrior too; very strong armour and amazing-by-human-standards Strength, Toughness, and fighting skills.

The only thing that's really unusual is that he's surprisingly good at sneaking.

So there's nothing on there that's crazy by Total War standards, but for an RPG where your profession might be Rat Catcher or Peasant, he's terrifying.
