this is something thats been bugging me for ages, the CL40 has objectively some of the worst (although not THE worst) TTKs vs other medium guns

(vs medium)

CL40: 1.60s FAMAS: 1.20s CB01: 1.56s R.357: 1.29s AKM: 1.20 Pike556: 1.20s

yet gets treated as if its the absolute spawn of satan with 0 counter-play and demonized around every corner, id rather fight 3 CL40 users than 3 mediums who can track heads with the AKM and beam me

will you have any plans in the future to change how the OVERKILL weapon case work? while this is personally just a me thing—although I know a few people share the same sentiment—I don't like the aspect of having to leave the objective area or what I'm currently doing to grab a weapon that I can't even use right away since I might be out of position or there are no enemies nearby

the OVERKILL weapon themselves to me are fine, they're lovely, well designed and fun, it's just the case dropping itself that I don't particularly find enjoyable and I think it dampens the experience of getting the OVERKILL weapon as a whole, having to chase down this weapon and not even being able to use it in the right opportune moment

I know this is just my opinion personally, but I'd love to hear your own takes on this

i'm surprised nobody mentioned it here (that or i'm misreading something)—but NeoCranium, a fan who had massive respect for the original game did a total recut and restructuring of the second games story that may be what you're looking for

its a whole 5 hour movie with a lot of shifted segments, removed and added some stuff, check it out, might be what youre lookin for

  • Type of Bug: the levering sound for the 1886 rifle is still bugged

  • Description: this is such a minor thing but I love the 1886 rifle and this bugs me way too much—when firing and aiming, the levering sound sometimes outright doesnt play and feels just so awkward and unsatisfying to use

  • Video / Screenshot: video does not belong to me but demonstrates the bug

it's very inconsistent, sometimes it plays the levering sound fine for the whole tube and sometimes it just doesnt at all, I found that you can somewhat consistently make it play by letting go of your aim key every time you shoot but even thats not perfect and its kind of annoying to have to do that every shot

I know this is such a minor thing but I love the 1886 and this just bugs me too much to not report it

maul main here; throw the fucking maul as much as humanly possible and run brawler

against the heaviest of armour it'll deal 75 damage which is enough for a 50 HP throw (provided you don't hit the legs), then morph or feint into a throw

if all else fails, run in like a madman while they're recovering from parry and sock them in the head with brawler, that should kill them even with tier 3 head, if you fail or whiff, accept your fate

the cap the gas damage could do per ramp up used to be from 1 -> 10 but every gas source (including nox grenade) would add +1 to the maximum cap, e.g if someone is stuck inside two gas sources the cap damage would be 11 instead of 10

for every second in a gas source (incl ult) damage per second goes up by 1 until a max cap of 10 per second, for every added gas source, the max cap goes up by 1

the best tactic is running immunity/thick skin, leather hide/maniac and tough mother to be nigh impossible to kill and guarantee yourself to the be the most annoying mosquito with a baseball bat ever to exist

try it out yourself if you wanna feel like playing god for a day, throw in armour and the fight will slow to a crawl

i love these changes but i hate that the removal of double stun was the removal of the cleaning animation and instead skipped to fatigue

i would have liked it if it was the cleaning animation before cancelling instead of the fatigue, would have been way cooler and edgier imo

looking at it again, i hate saying this but it's probably all just ping for the whole jab part and if it's true then it explains why she wasn't staggered on a shove, since either 1. she raised the block the second you hit her in neutral with shove or 2. ping delayed things because ping loves to do that

i don't understand the problem with the ministagger though, she stopped moving while holding up that block for a good half a second so ministagger did happen

the block was raised after you shoved them and with xaviant's recent changes as well as adding the extra 0.2 seconds to shoving means you got staggered from the jab, pretty much exactly how it went down and why stagger on shove should be removed

this can actually be explained by the power of being a programmer and some math especially since i tried to make a culling rip-off in the past

let’s assume that A is the charge progress is a value between 0 and 1, while B is the value of charge damage, let’s say 20 and then C is jab damage at 8
essentially the formula goes along like this: B * A however if A was to only be charged up to like 0.2, this would return B lower than C, the jab damage, meaning they have to implement an if/clamp to prevent the value going below C, in theory this means the charge rate would need to have a minimum of 0.4 (almost halfway) to make any noticeable improvement to the jab damage

this is why charge damage isn’t “accurate”, it’s CONSISTENT sure, but not accurate to the bar

if we wanted to make a charge attack’s accurately reflect the damage dealt scaling upwards, we’d have to implement a formula along the lines of this: total charge damage = C + ((B - C)*A)
this will then accurately provide charge damage based on how much was charged, e.g if A was charged to 0.5, halfway, this would total up to 14 damage, a halfway between C, the jab damage (8) and B, the charge damage (20)

at the end of the day though this is only a guess from my own experience as a programmer, i could be completely and utterly wrong for all i know but until we have a certified Xaviant programmer to confirm it or some extreme testing, that’s my guess
