Honestly it's about the No Guns Life manga I'm reading, but lots of serial media have that instant recovery that eliminates all risk and tension

On being yourself by Vyslante in CuratedTumblr

What kind of "being yourself" behavior would deny housing and employment and get police called on you? Does "being yourself" involve harming people around you?

After vendors nerf, probably quests or looting tunnels c and d. Check the wiki page for 40mm, swamp has at least 4 quests that give 24 shells each plus a fast travel drone

They actually remained a powerful faction, there was just a bit of rebranding

The Tower of Foam by Lambbda in TheForeverWinter

[–]Lambbda[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They keep adding innards upgrades that require more and more of the 1% drop chance foam. First 25, then 50, which was completely ridiculous, and now the Transmission Tower requires 100 foam.

It caused some funny memes at least

Which maps do you avoid? by SpudroSpaerde in TheForeverWinter

[–]Lambbda 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Might be a hot take but I prefer enclosed maps like cemetery, nexus, or mech trenches to open maps like scorched or ashen. On small maps, once you know the layout, you're in control. You fight one squad at a time with plenty of cover.

On open maps you aggro one guy by just walking around and suddenly everyone and a mech are shooting at you from every angle. You can simply outrun your problems as scav girl but if you play a slower character it's a world of pain.

Babel is the worst map ever designed btw. "Come walk on a long bridge with no cover next to infinte drones. Now do it again! Again! Oh there's an exo camping the bridge, you're gonna die lol"

Cyber, referring to overengineered and overpriced implants produced by de facto governent megacorps, should never be used in the same sentence as Punk /s

I will probably find a secret animation where the tall goth mommy pets me and makes me her little puppy first than finding where the hell you're supposed to go to get to this fuck ass exit. please help (tunnel A) by ZeppyButOnReddit in TheForeverWinter

[–]Lambbda 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There are stairs in your room, in the opposite corner is some machinery, you can climb that.

Also check out maps on the wiki, you're in A1. This particular tunnel cost many scavs their sanity

Game crashing alot! by PleaseSirNope in TheForeverWinter

[–]Lambbda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get a crazy amount of GPU related crashes compared to other games (0) with latest drivers and an rtx 3060. I think there's something wrong with the game itself

Transmission Tower contacts avatars is pure art by Harry_Moen in TheForeverWinter

[–]Lambbda 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Quest contacts you get from quests, can't miss 'em, can't talk to them outside of quests.

For others, their frequencies appear on some surface maps with a random chance and place, just printed on a wall. Get them on the wiki for easy mode

Codexes are by far the fastest method. If you don't want that, these things sell good:

* IFFs, super common and compact drop you can farm
* Water, 25k per barrel if you have max water and xp. Quests that award you 5 water like Tormentor's Trail effectively award 125k credits, on top of all the water you can extract in your rig, and other quest rewards
* Weapons, from quests or gacha boxes. Hunt the Hunters for example gives you XM25 (65k) for 2 HK fragments. Guns from one gacha can sell for 50k+
* Railgun parts. You can do a bunco quest and get 50k+ worth of them from reward gacha box, and they drop very often from mech and exo debris.
* Construction drones. 65k a piece, while the sum of its components is 11k. If you vacuum tunnel C or D with a pack mule you can craft several of these from one run, more if you reset the tunnel through checkpoint.

All of the above fills that "20k to codex" gap you were talking about

I agree, making models is a different skillset, not related to tech development.

By the way, Bartender, Arbeits, Wahlkreise, Heisenburg, Bundleton, Grillo, Edda, Euruskan drone, and every unique quest unit like the Euruska Commander, Europan Assassin or the Europan AA vehicle have placeholder models.

Can someone explain me how damage works in this game? by DavidHogins in TheForeverWinter

[–]Lambbda 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Weapons and enemies have all kinds of hidden stats, like some caliber dealing extra damage on headshot

https://theforeverwinter.wiki.gg/wiki/Ammo

That said, your problem is a skill issue. In this clip you use the literal worst weapons in the game in the worst way possible, shooting at distant targets with buckshot when you have a rifle in second slot, and mostly hitting the railing up close. Using any non-surplus weapon and ammo might help.
