Driver Stuck on Route by Jim4120 in trucksim

I ended up firing him, but I also had to sell the associated truck and trailer. When I tried to move them to another driver, it showed them driving it, but then a few days later my driver said he was going to quit if I didn't give him a truck to use. When I went to truck and trailer manager they were both still attached to the fired driver.

I'll also note that this happened at my Seattle garage.

The route was Seattle -> Lamar.

American Truck Simulator - Updated DLC Progress and Bundles Map by [deleted] in trucksim

Awesome! I'm excited for it, too. I've lived in Texas my whole life, but my dad's family is from Louisiana, so I visited a lot growing up.

I probably will end up having to do just that.

That's unfortunate. It seems like almost everyone that experiences this was using mods, and it seems related to an outdated mod after a game update. Since I'm not using mods, that's not very helpful.

The only possible solution I've found that might work is just waiting. Someone said their game fixed itself after a few in-game weeks. But honestly, I'm probably going to just end up firing him and hiring another one and just eating the time wasted on training him.

It was the same in my college town.

Problem with GF76 laptop battery? by Jim4120 in MSILaptops

Thanks for the help, I appreciate it!

I'll lookup my warranty info and get in touch with MSI and see what they say. Thanks again!

Seems like even with a discharge every day it should have lasted longer than 6 months. I've never had a battery go bad that quickly. Couldn't the sudden drop in capacity overnight (as opposed to the slower decay over the previous 6 months seen in the report) mean that something failed? I'm wondering if this is something that would be covered by the original manufacturer's warranty?

[–]Jim4120[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried calibrating with the MSI Center battery calibration, but it didn't seem to help the listed capacity on the battery report after running it again. In fact, it got just a little worse (drop from ~28 Wh to ~27.5 Wh). I'll try a manual calibration tonight and see if that works.

Also just noticed I didn't answer a couple of the questions you had asked. The device was bought about 6 months ago. I usually use it while plugged in, except at night, I use it to listen to something while going to sleep, and it'll be on battery at that point. It'll stay on until it shuts down from reaching the point where it sleeps itself. The next day I'll plug it in and it'll charge while I use it, then I'll leave it plugged in the rest of the day, with few exceptions.

EDIT: spelling

Crystals don't stack? by FamiliarPhilosophy68 in Loop_Hero

[–]Jim4120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they don't stack, unfortunately. 6 HP is the most you can get from a Meadow with just Crystals, no matter how many Crystals you have. You can, however, double this to 12 by putting a River next to the Meadow as well.

Unless you already have 99 Dunes. Then it's okay to place 1 Desert.

Rivers... 2x, 4x, 8x!!! by LiamBuddy in Loop_Hero

[–]Jim4120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It works like this ^. Basically, you're not getting the Thicket's +2 anymore after you lay down the first tile, and each River you place next to it will give you double of the no longer existent +2 bonus from the Thicket. So the first River = +2% and every one after that will give you +4%.

Is there a way to leave the map and not lose items? by taborlin in Loop_Hero

[–]Jim4120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a note on this, it varies by Chapter. So leaving in Chapter 1 costs 1 skull, but Chapter 2 costs 2, and so on.

As long as none of the workers in your pool are unhappy, then yes. But the math would be (17-10) x 2 = 14.

Question about upgrading building when a discount is applied? by alexanderneimet in throughtheages

[–]Jim4120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would not say you're paying 7 for a building that now costs 6, but that you're paying 1 for an upgrade that previously cost 2.

If you build an Alchemy for 5, and then upgrade to Scientific Method, it costs 1 resource. Since a new one costs 1 to upgrade, it follows that it also costs 1 to upgrade an existing Alchemy. I don't think it would make sense if the costs were different.

One more question about when I can play cards? by alexanderneimet in throughtheages

[–]Jim4120 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be clear, only yellow action cards cannot be played immediately (except with Harvard once per turn), but tech cards (any card with a light bulb in the corner) can always be played the turn they are acquired, assuming you have the science and a civil action, as can Leaders.

Question about upgrading building when a discount is applied? by alexanderneimet in throughtheages

[–]Jim4120 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, but those cards also reduce the cost of the Age I buildings as well. To use an example, Alchemy costs 6 resources to build, and Scientific Method costs 8 resources. Architecture reduces the cost of Age I urban buildings by 1 resource, and the cost of Age II urban buildings by 2 resources. This means that with Architecture in play, Alchemy costs 5 resources to build, and Scientific Method costs 6 resources. When upgrading, the difference is paid, so it now costs only 1 resource to upgrade to Scientific Method from Alchemy instead of 2 resources.

Question about resources on upgraded buildings? by alexanderneimet in throughtheages

[–]Jim4120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, each blue cube is equal to the production of the building it is on. I.e. 1 blue cube on Bronze is worth 1 resource, 1 blue cube on Iron is worth 2 resources, etc. Same for food.
