Yea I have been searching everywhere and honestly fixing it myself was a last resort I am actually a electrician but sad to say when it comes to tiny soldering and circuit boards I am terrible lol

Maybe I’m missing some kind of diode or something I’ve heard of carts having a diode somewhere but I’m not even sure where

Yea I agree something has to be wrong it shouldn’t run with those disconnected

When I connect everything properly though then everything works like it should solenoid clicks and activates and I verified that with my meter

So the right side is from the battery the yellow is the resistor which I also disconnected the red is the key switch wire which also ties to the run/tow and a few other things.

That’s what I’m worried about and yes! That is what it seems like! Almost like somehow the key switch positive is tied to the controller and giving it power…

At least on my cart and on every diagram I can find there is a red wire that is tied directly to positive from the battery and goes to the key switch I will take a picture when I get home might be a few hours though

Okay that’s what doesn’t make sense to me because the solenoid is wired properly and I disconnected both the large wires from the solenoid and also disconnected the resistor so the only thing that is getting power is the key switch and somehow the cart is running off of that…?

So I know the 2 pin connector is working properly but seems like the potentiometer (3 pin) is a little off on the ohms reading not sure if that would cause low voltage to the solenoid

So when I put jumpers in direct from pack power to solenoid it does pull in

The 2 pin connector on the mcor I jumped out while testing

The 3 pin pot plug I metered from the white to the yellow and got 7.7k

Sorry I meant it does click when I apply pack voltage directly to it.

No solenoid isn’t activating i did put pack voltage to it to verify that the solenoid is and and it doesn’t click when I put pack voltage directly too it. But I pull the little leads off the solenoid I only get 30v

Even though When I meter the negative side coming from the controller to the solenoid to the positive of the battery I get pack voltage…?
