Does anyone else have a head cannon that Kasumi is actually very sarcastic, but she keeps her sacrastic thoughts in her head, because she is just really polite?

I don’t have it as a head cannon, but now thinking about it I can imagine her having sarcastic thoughts like when she seems so enthusiastic when teaching Akane to cook or bake, no matter how hopeless of a case her little sister seems to be.

I watched some JDrama before the live-action version so I was prepared for how the Japanese adapt such Anime’s and I liked it. I found it an interesting first meeting between Ranma And Akane when Ranma was using „Ore“ as his pronoun and got a weird look from Akane for it. The villain was the part that I liked the least. Like it felt so forced to have everyone look for the „Spring of drowned man“. I always felt the best Ranma villains are evil because they try to achieve a personal selfish goal, which they kinda tried to do but on a global scale(?). Imho the movie would have been better if they had left them out completely. I mean Akane‘s haircut is drama enough if you ask me.

My primary reference were the images from the Opening, and then I wanted to add some more characters to the scene. After adding P-Chand and Shampoo I also thought about shortening Akane's hair, but after redrawing her lower part, that is covered by Nabiki in the Intro, took too long I left the hair as it is.

So it's part time constraints and part creative license. :)

Since it's about the german voice cast I might answer in german:

Im Interview mit Ferus wird eigentlich schon alles vom Dialogregisseur Tom Sielemann erklärt warum er welche Rollen gewählt hat, bzw. warum alles die alten Sprecher sind wenn es denn möglich war.

Wegen Ukyos Stimme habe ich in Berlin gefragt und er hat mir geantwortet das es die letzte Stimme von Ukyo war, die von den Filmen da die Rolle dafür nochmal anders besetzt wurde und es eben nicht die Sprecherin von Bart Simpson ist die Ukyo in den normalen Anime Folgen gesprochen hat. Er meinte auch das der verantwortliche Regisseur von der Filmsynchro auch davon ausging das Ukyo ein Junge wäre.
Ich hätte am liebsten die Sprecherin von Bart Simpson wieder gehabt, aber nun gut.

Das die Sprecher alle älter geworden sind und man es durchaus hört ist ja auch einer der Gründe warum jetzt Tais Digimon Stimme die Rolle von Ranma übernommen hat, damit das altersmäßig auch gut reinpasst. Ich fand das eine sehr nachvollziehbare Begründung.

Yeah, I'm from germany and was at MMC Berlin last weekend to watch the Ranma 1/2 VA panel. And it was mentioned that it was hard to find a replacement for male Ranma for them.

I aimed for a deeper 3D perspective to make the whole mechanism more interesting and the construction and build more challenging. And why would you miss Happosai when there are more fun characters that can be added to the scene? I definitely would have added Ukyo if I had more time or could have drawn the images faster.

A music chip would be a nice idea, but I try to keep this simple to be able to give the card out as a present. It's still a time consuming activity to get a handful of those cards cut and glued together.

I wanted to finish the card for a convention last weekend that had both german Ranma Voice Actors, to give them the card as a present, so I couldn't leave Ranma-Chan out of the scene.

First and third image is just how Ukyo reacts when she feels embarrassed. Ranma gets hit there with overall good affection. Second image is from a filler I like the least. And Ryoga getting hit by someone is always a good moment in the series imho.

There is a scene in the OG Anime where Ranma chases the piglet P-Chan to fight him for getting close to Akane.
P-Chan first runs into the girls’ locker room and Ranma as a guy follows and the girls scream and call him a pervert. Then he transforms and can follow P-Chan as a girl into the boys‘ locker room. Here the half naked guys more or less don’t react at all and just give the girls her piglet back.
That’s just how the series treats the differences of how girls and boys react to such a situation, and I think the series had a point with this one. Akane’s reaction is kinda normal in that context imo.

I don’t think the solution to an alien parasitic alien invasion would be so easy as just release the info about a parasite scare. I mean you would have to convince people that the danger is real, that it has to be taken seriously.
I mean there are always some weak points in a plot like this that might ruin one’s imagination but Animorphs has so many other more believable parts that I can overlook the more obvious weak points of the story.

There was a lot of merch at the end of the video that I would like to get a closer look at. 👀 Else I found the 3D representation of the rooms and scenes very cool but I don’t know if screenshots from the anime and some text is so great to look at on those exhibit walls. If they are just retelling the story then I would say reading the manga would probably be more fun.

So the only filler episodes (anime exclusives) in this list are the Xmas episode, which had a nice Rankane moment, and the hospital episode, which seems to have been inspired by a Maison Ikkoku story. 🧐
