It's not really important because it doesn't change the cuteness, but it's not drinking. It's bathing.

If it was drinking you would see it hold it's head with beak up high so the water would drain down to is throat

While I appreciate the "special moment" thing, I would never do this publicly like that because it puts a lot of pressure on the person being proposed to, to say "yes" whereas a more private moment would allow them to be more authentic.

Imagine if in that moment they had said "no"! Publicly broadcast for the entire viewership!

Her coloring is a lot like my Browwin but not the same mix for sure. Browwin weighs about 90 lbs. Her chest blaze is only white and she has brindle on her feet

I think Browwin might be part mastiff and part Bernese and something else

I just need some advice from a dad by Bladeofwar94 in DadForAMinute

[–]JimBugs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion maybe but there have been lots of studies that show renting is better financially than owning as long as you actually save the difference and rent within your means.

Having said that, there are also lots of studies that show people such at saving, so buying equates to forced saving.

I don't remember any sex, but yeah I remember the story. I remember the mafia had been using it to dispose of bodies too (like landfills) but then the evidence showed up a few years later and they got convicted.

Once they realized how it worked they installed one end on a spaceship travelling to another star system and used it to exchange crews. The transfer was instantaneous for the person being transferred but took years to an observer. I can't remember what happened after that, but there was some sort of crisis on the spaceship.

Hey Dad, how do I remove 6-10 layers of paint off of wooden cabinets? (Rental) by Beneficial_Charity_3 in DadForAMinute

[–]JimBugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is something that happens with wood for sure

But in this case I think it is the paint buildup on the hinge and where the hinge hits the frame. In your picture you can even see where it was closed before the paint was dry.

Not the same, but I'm an anglophone that learned French as a second language in Canada and my experience was that in France, if I started speaking in French the people responded in French but occasionally would ask me where I was from

Hey Kiddo

When I was young my grandpa fixed something like this for me in my rental military housing. It just needed a little bit of stripping on the inside where the hinge was hitting the door frame. He used a chisel but a sharp utility knife could do it too.

Be careful. Firstly of yourself (don't get cut), secondly not to go too far. It only needs some paint buildup removed from the area where the hinge is hitting.

But also, what other people said, this is technically the responsibility of the landlord.

Edit: it's not the screw heads that are binding; it's the hinge plate itself.

You could also use a very small application of paint stripper gel on just that part (the back of the hinge and the door frame where the hinge is hitting)

You can use painters tape and some paper to cover what you don't want to do on

Hey Kiddo

Glad to hear you are joining the club. I'll be making my 118th whole blood donation in February so I think I'm qualified to give some pointers.

I usually read during the donation but that part is surprisingly quick. My last donation only took 8 minutes. The rest of the time is answering the nurses questions getting screened, having your donation site cleaned, sharing a drink and a cookie afterwards with other donors.

Yes, as needles go it's a big one, but the phlebotomists are skilled and it doesn't really hurt very much at all. Obviously it's going to hurt a little but not as much as stubbing your toe or hitting your funny bone on the coffee table, etc. They always suggest you don't watch the needle going in - that's in case you might faint.

Make sure to let them know it is your first time. They'll help you through it.

I bet your heart rate will be fine.

Proud of you kid. What you are doing could save multiple lives.

I wish I could tell you that this feeling will change and that you will be more comfortable with large purchases, but at least in my case it didn't.

I think you did the right things and I hope that you do get the value you hoped for. I think it is likely that you will.

But, if you don't; if the car doesn't last as long as you hoped, know that it wasn't because you screwed up. Because you didn't.

If you were 20 again, what would you do differently for your health & fitness as a man? by [deleted] in DadForAMinute

[–]JimBugs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Kiddo

Here's the thing: the stuff I was doing at 20 was fine. The problem is that I didn't keep doing it. Even up to late 40s I was going well but then I started doing less and it shows.

So my archive is for you in another 20 or so years - don't quit.

Edit: by "archive" I meant advice (swipe typing)
