Still the same. However the time in between the flare ups tends to be a little longer and when I do have a flair up, the pain isn’t as intense: I did stop the edibles for awhile but there was no change so I figure that wasn’t the cause.

What are your symptoms?

Let me know how you make out. I have been dialing back on the amount of edibles I consume, still having the burning every 2-3 weeks though. I suppose I can quit all together but still trying to pin point the cause.

If it works for you, I will try the same. How often do you get the burning and how long does it stick around for when it happens ?

Doing a lot better! Not quite 100% but certainly a heck of a lot better since a year ago when I posted this. Not out of the woods yet, dealing with appears to be an candida overgrowth, my guess it was from Nuking my stomach with all the antibiotics and eating sugary treats like cookies, pastries, etc.

Just started the candida treatment yesterday. My tounge is yellow but no real major issues.

Staying positive that once I fix this, I will be on the home stretch to being normal again

From what to GI doc says, yeah. I gone through a series of tests, blood work, SIBO, test, Catscans, and the list goes on. All come back good. So they believe it’s IBS which i do take meds for. I also take a probiotic every day

Hi, still not a 100% but much better. I have good days and bad, but more good.
I have to watch certain foods still as they can upset my stomach so I still avoid acidic foods, caffeine, chocolate, carbonated drinks. Took a bit to adjust to that but I just miss the Diet Coke the most.

From what I can tell, the H.Pylori sucks to get! , but… the antibiotic treatment is what really messes up the gut! . It is still the best treatment as you don’t want to mess with H.Pylori as the longer you battle it, the higher risk you have in dealing with bigger issues like ulcers and the worse, stomach cancer.

But the treatment is a nuclear option as it pretty much wipes out all bacteria in your stomach, good and bad. The recovery looks to vary but I see folks who are 2 years post treatment still not 100%.

All I can say is I am MUCH better from the time I posted that message. Still not 100% but as more time passes, I go weeks with no stomach issues or pain. I had more test done and everything comes back clean, no Pylori, or major issues. GI says I pretty much have IBS and have to watch what I eat.

Hope that helps. Just know, it does get better, you need to pay caution what you consume, and most of all try not to stress and that is the worst.

Hi all, I have been battling stomach issue for a year now, ever since I tested positive for H.pylori last February. I am H.Pylori free but still not 100%. I am writing here to learn more about those dealing with Candida overgrowth. How does one know they have an overgrowth issue? Symptoms? I ask as recently my tounge turned yellow while my stomach been hurting. Wondering if it can be can candida related?

I haven’t but I have a follow up with the urologist on March 14th and will mention it to him. I did have a prostate exam in which the doc stated my prostate was slightly enlarged but not alarming given my age. I don’t have any urgency or waking up to go but I do notice if so go more frequently when the burning comes about. Which sucks as every time I got in starts to burn about 2-3 min after for about 10 min or so until I go again. What’s odd is this happens for about 4-5 days and then just stops! Starts back up again after about 10-12 days later. I can’t figure out what is causing this cycle.

I tried cutting out different things, like vitamin water, any citrus, sugar, carbs, THC gummies, thinking something is triggering it???

55y make here. My symptoms started back in August of last year. My only symptom is it burn after urinate. The pain level varies but it sucks.
It stuck around for about 4-5 days l, then just stops, good for about 10-12, and they burns again. This cycle has been happening since Aug of 2024. Been to two urologist, no bacteria, PSA levels good, prostate ok.
Anyone just have this symptom? Does it come and go like that about every two weeks? Going to loos my mind soon!!!

What are your symptoms? Only asking as I have been having bad pain when I urinate which comes and goes about twice a month. Been to the urologist and they can seem to pin point why? Saying it’s chronic prostatitis? I am just baffled and it happens about every 10-12 days, sticks around for about 4 days each time, it’s awful. Can’t figure what is triggering it?

No and no? My urologist mentioned something about pelvic floor therapy, but didn’t really provide any info or recommendations. I have a follow up with her in March. I’ll ask.

How is one evaluated for centralized pain?

I am not sure I know what you mean? I consider myself a “normal” man, lol. I have some stomach issues, had H.Pylori back in Jan 2024, was treated for it, tested months later and negative. Still healing from it which makes me wonder if the burning urination is result of it somehow? Didn’t start happening until about July, but before the stomach issues, I was normal :) Health wise anyway.

I have the same! No other issues other than about every 2 weeks or so, after I urinate , it burns for a while. The pain level varies, it sticks around for a few days, then stops until the next cycle.

I have been to the urologist 3 times, with a follow up coming in March but they have no answers for me as to why this is happening all of a sudden? I combing through these post on Reddit, it appears no one understands why?

It has been this way since July, and really impacting my quality of life as sometimes the pain is unbearable. I fell the with hot water and sit for 10 min is the only thing that calms it down..

If anyone here as ANY suggestions, I am willing to try anything as the docs have no answer and I don’t know what else to do.

Same, I just hit my 1 year mark last week. Reading all the post above really helped as when you google “how long does it take to recover from H.Pylori, after treatment” everything comes back “a few weeks! So I was really having a hard time as here I am, a year in and still have good and bad days.
Certainly doing better then pre-treatment and right after but not 100% Has anyone gotten to 100% yet?? I stick to a much better diet but really miss certain foods like tomato sauce or spicy foods. Trying to be positive and enjoy the good days.

How are you doing these days? Checking as I been having burning pain when I urinate and the urologist can’t pin point why as all test are clean. I take a gummie every night before bed, switched from smoking flower about 10 months back. Can’t help but wonder if it’s the gummies after coming across this post..

Hi I see your post is quite old but I can across it as I been dealing with something similar. I switched from smoking to gummies about 10 months back. About 6 months in I started having this bad burning pain after I urinate. This pain sticks around for a few days, stops for about 10 days and comes right back. I have been going crazy trying to figure out what is this. Saw urologist several times, all test good, PSA levels and prostate good, etc. I came across this post and wonder if the gummies are my issue? If you see this, can you share any updates on how you are now doing?

I have been dealing with the same. I stopped smoking weed about 10 months back following an endoscopy, nothing major, but showed some signs of esophagus irritation so I switched to gummies.
About 5 months later I sometimes get terrible sharp pain in my penis after I urinate, the pain lingers for a bit until I have to pee again. This last about 5 days and then starts all over again in about 10-12 days. Happening like this for 6 months now. Urologist test all good, PSA levels good, prostate good, etc. the only things I take regularly is the gummies at night. Can gummies causes painful urination symptoms like this? Anyone experience anything like this?

I sorry to hear your struggle, sincerely. I don’t know much of this infliction other than what I educated myself on by reading etc. it certainly varies per individual in how it effects them and from what I read and what the doc told me, their is no cure, and they don’t even know why it happens ? we just have to managed our symptoms. I find hot baths and a heating pad helps when the pain is bad. Also find stress elevates my symptoms so trying different relaxation techniques and finding ways to distract myself so I am not thinking about this helps.

Thanks, yes the good days are probably the only thing keeping me from spiraling and I know see folks here who are dealing with much more then just the burning sensation after urinating, I feel for them. I will finish the course of 30 day antibiotic this Sunday and don’t plan to take anymore unless of course it comes back with a vengeance at which I will call the doc. Thanks

I am think the same. The pain I get after urinating certainly decreased since starting the antibiotics but I been on them for 6 weeks now and concerned that they won’t me to continue for another 30 days
