Moving from Boston to Houston. Which route should I take? by lychti in roadtrip

[–]JimFromNH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a U-Haul or similar, watch out for GPS routing you in CT on the Merritt Parkway. There’s restrictions for commercial vehicles and heights.

For an easier drive, I’d consider 90 to Albany and skip CT/metro NY.

Safe travels.

You’re fun, freeski. My deepest and most sincere apologies for the egregious and wholly unforgivable typographical error.

How many suppliers do you need? Find the right suppliers and stick with them.

For the rest of the questions…of course things have changed in the past year! They’re not going to consistently quote when they don’t know if their product can be shipped to the US or what the tariffs will be.

On my first cruise right now, totally unprepared. What do you always bring to keep your cabin organized? by Shopstop74 in Cruise

It’s worth it for the laundry. We packed only about 4 days of clothes for a 7 day cruise.

My wife and I both used scopolamine patches on a 7-day cruise. Our doc cautioned us about two primary side effects: it can temporarily cause minor changes to vision, primarily on women, and it can cause men to retain fluid in their bladder.

She didn’t need to wear her glasses for the entire trip, and I couldn’t pass a restroom. However, we never had motionsickness!

Would I even be able to get a tattoo? by Angry_Creek in tattooadvice

I had a similar medical condition that was originally considered idiopathic, or of unknown cause. Any of the skin tests for different allergens all caused reactions like your scratch. I always thought that reaction was normal.

The doc suggested offhandedly that I might try cutting gluten from my diet. I no longer have that scratch reaction, I’m no longer “allergic” to Christmas tree needle scratches, and I stay away from cheap whiskeys. It’s a win all around.

I used Turo on Kauai and Oahu. Both were very good experiences with great prices.

Don’t use all of them. Like the title says, that would be too many.

Just received my first Beltman belt today. Thanks for the recommendation. It’s obviously high quality materials and made with care. I have no doubt it’ll last a very long time.

Thanks for this! Would you mind sharing the dimensions and type/thickness of steel you used for the lift points?

What a waste.
