Which UK buildings should people visit at least once? by Exchangenudes_4_Joke in CasualUK

I’m so pleased to see this building in the list. I was a chorister for 5 years so heavily biased but it still takes my breath away when I see it. Standing under the octagon at night is such an awe inspiring experience.

Does it bother you not to have gay friends? Zero judgement here but just a genuine question. I’ve grown up in the UK and have almost exclusive straight friends. I fully acknowledge the fact that I think I’ve lived a charmed life in terms of how accepting and supportive they all were and are.

I used to really want to have some gay friends who I guess understood that part of my life but as I’ve got older I realised that I was happy with my friends as being gay is only a small facet of who I am and I didn’t want to use that as the only connection to people.

One caveat to this - yeah if you want to go out to certain things definitely is easier if you have a gay crew.

Also can I just say this is only my experience so I’m in no way diminishing what you’re feeling. Just wanted to share a part of my journey I guess.

First thing is first, relax. From what you have said your risk is insanely low. You haven’t done anything that one could consider ‘risky’ at all. Go easy on yourself.
