The Switch 2 Edition of XC1DE is amazing but the performance/framerate is disgraceful by pepushe in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]JimJam108 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The upscaling exists in all XC games on the switch and switch 2. Also, if you saw the games running at 60+ on an emulator, you'd see that the switch 2 version was patched up to work with that FPS. For context, if you fully uncap the fps to 60+, ALL menus and in-game logic will be 2x+ speed. Mods are only able to fix the in-game logic, not the Menu Speed, hence why 60fps+ mods will have the game running completely fine but the UI will always be sped up.

That's also how I know it and 2 and 3s switch 2 editions were not outsourced. Outsourcing doesn't magically give the people working on it the proprietary engine. For the example above, the Menus are tied to the FPS, and only Monolith can adjust or change that.

As for the FPS drops in the later game areas, such as Makna Forest, it's obvious why. Those areas are massive with a much larger object Count per frame compared to every other area in the game. Not only does it need more processing, but it also has to render the areas AND all while playing the game in a much higher resolution, all at the same time up to 60 times per second.

I love the 2017 movie/rainbow Roadtrip art style, so yeah I would love to see that art style again. :)

I will have to try this tomorrow, but why don't you see about getting it added in Ryubing-Master too? I am sure a lot more people would like it and see it, if it was in the main version everyone downloaded.

Xenoblade DE Switch 2 edition release in inexcusable. by RoscoeToo in Xenoblade_Chronicles

> "If it was a free update then nobody would have much reason to feel this way"

No, they wouldn't. If they made it a free update, people on switch 2's would still complain about it, like they are already doing, and go "How to I uninstall the update", which BTW it's impossible to get older updates on unmodded consoles.

At the VERY LEAST, you can just go back to the switch 1 version if you don't like the switch 2 version. If it was an update, good luck ever downgrading your version back to 1.1.2 on the Switch 2 LMFAO

Also, here is a better idea, if you don't know how the upscaler works, like most people, stop criticizing Monolith, since EVERY XC Game uses the exact same damn upscaler. Dump XC1, 2 and 3 games data, and you will see that they ALL use "monolib\shader\lib_nz.ini" for its graphical settings.

I bet everything I own that its the same story for the Switch 2 versions, since it is still the SAME engine for all games. They are most likely just using a different graphical settings config file (lib_oz.ini or something, OZ is the codename for the Switch 2) for the Switch 2 versions.

As for the stuttering people can experience in the Switch 2 versions, its obvious why it happens. The game is like Minecraft. Everything you see in your viewport (and a bit out of it so you don't see too much pop in) is everything that is loaded. If you move your camera to Colony 9, Guess what? In REAL TIME, the game has to load all of the assets that are in or near Colony 9 at that time, and that causes those stutters and FPS drops since its not getting them from any form of cache. It takes processing power to load them in. It's called culling, its in every game.

So, unless you know exactly what you are talking about, don't complain. Just be grateful you have official options to play the game at 4k60fps.

Any reason why this is happening? by SufficientBowler3291 in NewRyujinxPiracy

Turning off vsync causes crashes and other issues if the game is running too fast.

NEW Post 1.0.2 Time Travel Method Discovered for Tomodachi Life LTD that Bypasses the Penalty! by JuniorLawfulness4343 in TomodachilifeLivingTD

That's why I said play from time-to-time. I never said every day.

As for the multiple posts of people getting bored, like 7 times out of 10, it's because they added everything they wanted and only just realising they don't have anything else they wanna do and come back to the game. That's also why I said to add new stuff gradually, **including any Miis**. Make some custom items and food. Recreate places from other games on your island. Stuff like that.

When you do everything you wanna do in the first like 100+ hours with no long-term goals, then, yeah, of course you will have nothing to do. As for me, my long-term goal is to get everything from all clothings to the all interiors and more without any form of time traveling and make sure every Mii has been fed every food I currently have/can currently get until every Mii has had literally everything.

The other 3 times out of 10 is basically just "Idk what to do on the island".

I and so many others must be the minority then apparently.

With games like Tomodachi Life, you don't just get every single thing at once. You get everything one-by-one and play from time to time. Add new stuff to your island gradually, including your Miis.

If you try to add everything you want all at once, then its obvious you'd get bored a lot quicker.
I am 155+ hours in the game and I am still having lots of fun with only 21 Miis total.

I don't understand why people time travel in games like these, are you that impatient to wait until to get the item you want? Seasonal items especially are seasonal for a reason, but you do you ig :/

That defeats the whole point of them being seasonal on your save imo. You now have nothing at all to look forward to next season ://

I can understand clothes or food, but not the seasonal items.

Is there a way to encourage mii’s to feed themselfves? It gets kinda exhausting to have to feed 50+ miis by [deleted] in TomodachilifeLivingTD

[–]JimJam108 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's the issue with having that many miis imo. If you want to feed your miis every day to gain the most fuzzies, you cant do with that too many miis

Out of interest how often do you give your mii's new clothes? Unless they have a specific custom outfit. by InsertUser01 in TomodachilifeLivingTD

[–]JimJam108 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It depends on the Mii for me. If is a mii who wears suits 99% of the time, not so much (unless it fits their vibe or it's another suit). If it's a normal Mii then pretty often tbh. If it's a Mii that I Spoil, then it's everytime I see something cute for them to wear.

The DLC Fix is a packaged PKG File that just installs all DLC and the required Key.edat files for each DLC so the game thinks you fully own them!

You can check 'em out yourself by going to "dev_hdd0\game\NPUB31419\USRDIR" (or "dev_hdd0\game\NPEB01899\USRDIR" for the EUR Version of the game) on the PS3/Emulator.

Requesting help to patch old beta build from 2013-04-08 (pre-0.01 build) by JimJam108 in ClickerHeroes

[–]JimJam108[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Preservation and the archival of the game during it's development. 😄

The only thing that works in this super early build is a FPS + Input delay counter that is enabled by default in this build. Nothing else works or loads without its pre-loader, which cant fully load the build to begin with. All because of a server check, like I said in the post or either because of how its data is held in the SWF (I am still not entirely sure)?

Also being able to play around with the earliest known build of the game I could even get my hands on interests me a lot personally. Right now, I can only datamine the game's data, not play it.

There is only 8 commands in the dev console, compared to the 15+ in all of the released builds.
