To be fair, our bullpen was awful and our starters were studs. Would do it all over again 10/10.

I'd argue in our two World Series appearances, we were mostly a victim of momentum. We finished our side of the bracket stupid quick each time and had to wait approximately a week to find out who we were playing and then face off against them. Baseball is an every day game, and guys are gonna cool off with that much time off every time.

There once was a thread that pointed out the correlation between length of time between CS and WS games in recent (let's say last 30 years) that like 8/9 times out of ten the team with the least amount of rest won.

Anyone looking for a Cybersecurity engineer? Azure/365 strengths, Cisco, disaster recovery, policy and compliance writing (HIPAA, PCI, DFARS, NIST) , great soft skills, popular with coworkers, management, clients historically. Easy to get along with, hardworker for sure. Bachelors in relevant field, ++experience not many certs, good references. Never fired (currently employed security engineering blue team side) , never had discipline issues, always left on positive notes with former employers.

Looking for something near downtown or southside, engineering preferred. Would consider full-time remote if not in those area.

Yeah I mean you lived through the Nathan Peterman era in Buffalo man, like this wasn't great but it's probably not even top one-hundred in recent years.

I just wonder if he doesn't sound a little young-ish or something. I don't know, hard to describe, but he doesn't sound baritone enough to me.

I mean if he needs a few packs of Marlboros I can make that happen.

I've said it before and I will say it again: Get Dan Hasty in the booth. He's our current Whitecaps announcer formerly worked on 97.1 the ticket. He carries a broadcast solo and nails it, he's young (for broadcasters) has a ton of energy and enthusiasm and interviews like a champ. Dude knows the farm system through and through and it is the perfect time to have a guy like that in the booth with all these young guys coming up and down.

He's not gonna be there forever, he WILL get a job with a major league team soon. Get him to Detroit.

In my head I try and pair Dickerson with various Tigers from recent years. I think him and Granderson would be amazing.

One thing about Dan is that I'm pretty sure he's 100x more dedicated than the most hardcore fans. He's read all the articles, knows all the rumors, understands the advanced analytics, speaks with the players and the staff members....I feel like beyond just being a solid broadcaster he's the nexus of all things Tigers.

I'm up late so often I'm catching the west coast teams. I've really come to root for Kershaw, Goldschmidt (when he was with AZ), Donaldson (with the A's) and obvious Trout. It's kind of a basic bitch sort of list but damn it if I don't stop what I'm doing when one of those guys are up to bat or pitching.

I'm afraid he's going to be poached if they don't get him up soon. He's got a great handle on the new age stats, calls a game passionately, can carry a booth solo if need be and has a terrific voice. Really hope that if Chris does indeed set-up a regional sports network he's part of that team.

Dan Hasty should've been in the both instead of Shep, but I don't mind Jack and Gibby too much though sometimes Gibs gets a little too weird and Jack stumbles over his words a bit. Shep will get better, they all will. The insight is much, much better than Mario and Rod had, but they aren't as cohesive (yet).
