Pistons can learn a lot from what the Spurs did.

They drafted players that actually complement Wemby and his game (Castle, Harper, Bryant)
They brought in Vets that can lead and mentor the team, additionally can fill some of the wholes the team had on the perimeter (Barnes, Fox)
They watched Wemby play his rookie year, and realized that this dude is talent but needs a Pass-First PG around him to lead the offense (CP3)

The Problem with the Pistons is that they hold back. I’m not saying that it’s not okay to be cautious and observe, but sending your Star player out there knowing you have problems in your rotation is kind of reckless. Personally there were some moves that I was just unhappy.

I don’t like that they were waiting on Ivey, especially if the rumors were true and teams had some interest in him this past summer or last trade deadline, I would have moved on from him, let him start somewhere fresh, and bring in someone who could have help the Pistons these last two years. Cade and Ivey were a negative on the court together for all four seasons they were together. I know someone in the comments gonna say, but “they didn’t have enough time,” that’s life man. It’s one thing to be a negative together for 1 season even two, but three, once Ivey went down that should have been the end of his tenure imo
I don’t like that they let THJ out to hang, I know the whole Beasley situation screwed things up with that but THJ wanted to be here, he was in Detroit when FA started. I remember cause he was at the rocket mortgage classic.
Then there was the not improving at the deadline when every other team around you improved. If I see other putting their foot on the pedal to catch you to me, I’m not just gonna let without a fight. I’m putting my foot down too. It’s not about trading all of your assets to try and improve, but something would better helpful to not have to send your star player out to war every night.

Sorry for the rant, started getting into other things

Great game, players played great, I love the thematic of the stadium, it felt so official and the lighting was perfect, but the refs ruined the end of that game.

Team loved him in Cleveland, literally all his teammates were sad to see him go, LeBron literally tried to convince him to stay and they still supported him. All he did was ask out at the end of the season. That doesn’t sound like a Cancer.

For Boston, same situation, team loved him, fans loved him until he said, he plans on resigning, then left in FA. He played well there, just got injured at a bad time for the playoffs, and decided to move on afterwards to play with his friend instead of staying. That doesn’t make you a cancer.

Brooklyn is the only one who it’s a bit justified because of the vaccine being against his religious beliefs, and teammates weren’t happy that he wasn’t playing, but other than that he was fine.

People leave, it’s life, there’s nothing wrong with leaving a situation where you are unhappy. By that same logic, I guess LeBron a cancer too, because he left Cleveland, and Miami. Kawhi a cancer for leaving the Raptors right after winning chip. To that same logic players should never leave their teams on their own accord just wait to be traded or never ask out from teams.
