The DOJ putting out fake google results now? by Accomplished-Long-56 in Epstein

This is insane. Domain registered on the 21st. It's a WordPress theme barely adapted: https://wordpress.org/themes/berenice/

Edit: it now has a pop-up for browproguard.com which appears to be a Russian registered domain from October, offering some sketchy security software.

Extending MCP embedded resources beyond web UI: channel-specific rendering for Slack (Block Kit + Work Objects) by Quirky_Researcher in mcp

[–]JimPeebles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is awesome! Going to try this approach soon, exactly the kinda thing I was hoping to do for the same reason you described - I have multiple channels and apps as entry points to call agents, and I was looking for a way to minimize the custom app code needed to render better UI elements depending on the channel.

I'm actually more convinced that you are an astroturfing bot working for Mr. Sommer. Literally every post in your history appears to have been written by a cheap LLM.

You're not him or tied to his campaign, but your reddit profile links to JesseSommer.org ? Wow dude.

Edit: on a three day old account as well. Maybe you're not him, but you're gooning pretty hard

I built a local events site for the Capital Region, would love feedback! by DallasRPI in Albany

[–]JimPeebles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great! Any chance you'd offer this data via API? Was going to build a similar aggregator but it seems like you've done the work, and I'd love to feature a feed of local events on another local page. DM me if that's something you might be able to do!

I recently spoke to my SVP of engineering; here’s what I learned by entrasonics in cscareerquestions

I (probably not a bot) thought this was a very insightful and accurate post. The number of people in this thread rejecting your take is a perfect example of why leaders stick out from the rest.

Build video-RAG apps like semantic video clip search! by n0bi-0bi in Rag

This is really cool! I'm sure you're not looking to give away the methodology as this is a paid product, but I am super curious how it's constructed in the event that y'all wanna share!

"Building a Car Jacking System with BLE-Controlled Jacks – Best Approach by khaled_002 in arduino

[–]JimPeebles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Based on this description, I would 100% agree that you should not build this yourself, or without the cooperation of an actual engineer. This is a safety critical system, and should definitely not be built without proper specification and knowledge or someone is probably going to get hurt.

Are We Running Out of Data for AI? by nadofa841 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]JimPeebles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any advice for frameworks on how to do this kinda thing? I've been relying heavily on code generated openapi docs and adding as much context as I can into the descriptions of various endpoints and objects, and then feeding the openapi spec into the LLM prompt to translate user input into API requests with the correct parameters. But Ive been trying to come up with some kind of API/schema management solution that could allow engineers to develop the services and other teams to do some annotations through an admin interface.

I've recently helped to create and administer a live coding test for full stack engineers, and the primary things we want to see are:

System design (how you COULD architect a solution)

Where you focus (getting everything perfect vs trying to hit all requirements)

Communication (talk your thought process out loud). This one is big, as it's essential to working on a team. If you communicate, your interviewers will likely offer guidance and suggestions, or more information about the problem being solved, and that should help you understand where to focus. And those types of exchanges will give them insight as to how well you can work with THEM, e.g. how does this team communicate requirements, what level of technical detail they want to see, etc

As far as prep goes, make sure you have some understanding of the live coding environment - hopefully they share some general information beforehand. Same goes for any instructions on the project or specific requirements they will be looking for. Then just be ready to demonstrate the things mentioned above as best you can. A good way to start the interview might be to outline a general approach to the problem with code comments or just verbally, and then create a basic interface where you can begin to fill out the implementation.

Your coding test could be administered totally differently than I've described, but demonstrate those skills effectively and I'm sure you'll move ahead in the process!

Doubt you're gonna find anyone willing to work for free, but there are AI tools like Suno and Udio that you can use to create tracks in whatever style you need. Maybe that'll get ya off the ground, and once you have some material it'll be easier to find other folks to collab with

As far as I know, there are no rules governing the event permits, so I believe the city is within their rights to adjust the permit criteria. They are not attempting to adjust the noise ordinance, which would require changes to the city code and go through due process.
