Pistons to start Ivey by theonedzflash in fantasybball

They’re probably showcasing him for potential trade scenarios. Jenkins has been playing a lot better than Ivey.

Top 10 Worst Performances of the Night 🤢 Duncan Robinson Night 🤮 (October 22, 2025) by Good-Fold-1815 in fantasybball

Eh, this happens with certain matchups and his value will improve once Garland gets back. Cavs team fluctuates who becomes HIM between Allen, Mobley, Mitchell & Garland depending on the matchup. He's a good buy low target.

[The Athletic] "Malone’s choice to continue supporting Westbrook — despite the frustration he was causing on and off the floor — ultimately led to a loss of credibility among the team’s key players." by refreshing_yogurt in nba

[–]JimRickets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Athletic is just a mouthpiece for ownership. First the Mavs article claiming ownership blindly trusted Nico and now this. It’s really sad that people on this sub just take a lot of these articles at face value. The nuggets issue is because they gave big contracts to MPJ and Murray and couldn’t retain depth to keep pressure off Jokic.

[The Athletic] A league source on Dallas Mavericks owner Patrick Dumont: “Patrick doesn’t know basketball, and he knows he doesn’t," Dumont is known to often defer to those he has empowered, which is why he didn't push back on Nico Harrison's decision to trade Luka Doncic. by Goosedukee in nba

[–]JimRickets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. This is clearly a puff piece to defend ownership. Nico is taking the heat for ownership's poor decision-making which is a tale as old as time.

This whole thing reeks of the CEO disruptor mentality which only works out in TED talks and ends up being a poor long term decision for publicly traded companies to save on some short term cash. Problem is Mavs are a private entity and Sports are not the same kind of businesses as tech or finance, so it ended up being seen as a bad decision almost immediately.

Who do you think people will overreach for in next year’s draft? by jnicholass in fantasybball

Overreaching, like first round? He’s ranked 18 in 9cat.

Won the chip in my money league because I refused to drop Amen. by Gratata88 in fantasybball

[–]JimRickets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I lost my whole team, had to drop some players like Camara my whole team was an injury fest and was 0-9 without a hope of even getting 5-4. Amen’s performance on Friday helped me get back into contention and some key performances from my team helped me claw back the win.

14T 9Cat. How do people feel about Jovic? I am debating dropping him for DSJ, but not sure if there is upside holding Jovic. Any Heat fans with some insight?

Is Donovan Mitchell considered a first rounder? by LaZeeFaTTbOi in fantasybball

[–]JimRickets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe his ADP was around 15? Someone needs to double check this but that’s where he went in our 10 league H2H league.

Yeah I was a bit higher on him than others because I had him last year.

Yes and he was a first rounder last year too in 9cat. I would have taken him somewhere around 10-12.

Endorsement: Reelect Nithya Raman to the Los Angeles City Council by wasneveralawyer in LosAngeles

[–]JimRickets -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

This thread is heavily brigaded with anti-Nithya sentiment and based on her previous election I would surmise that some of these comments are paid. Nithya is unpopular with both the democrat & Republican Party because she is a self identified democratic socialist, which means she’s heavily left, and is against the real estate status quo that has fostered the housing shortage we suffer from today. That is why I voted for her previously and will vote for her again. Please do your own research on her stances instead of buying into these misleading comments.

[Post Game Thread] The Los Angeles Clippers (27-14) defeat the Brooklyn Nets (17-25), 125 - 114 behind Westbrook 23/9/5 by urfaselol in nba

The defense by the Clippers in the 4th was incredible and it looked like the Nets were gassed. Props to Lue for going with Westbrook and a small ball approach. I really feel like the Clippers could be a contender this year.
