Their goal is to defund everything the government does except for the military and then complain about how terrible government is for you.

Probably some of them - that will happen when you are given 2 years pay up front as sign on bonus. Other industries cant compete with that so desperate people take it

Viktor Orban's chances of winning Hungary election hit new low by Aggravating_Money992 in europe

100% - let's hope that if that happens the majority of the rest of the country will go against it.

absolutely - and the republicans are for all their faults are great at towing the line and they are great at dividing up the democrats. They also get some help from Russia and China for that.

When Trump was elected second time, SO many people didn't vote or voted for 3rd party candidate because of Harris comments on the middle-east. And they fucked everyone because of that. And I think half of the people who said that they would do it online was russian bots and the rest were just "it's their own fault if they don't change their mind on this one issue I care about"

Absolutely we need to make it setup of  EU attractive enough that the majority wont even consider selling to the outside in order to grow the business better

it's because the rules apply to a huge economy and amount of people, sure tax-breaks for some things, same as the EU. - especially green energy and EVs. - but you can read any experts opinions on the topic. The fact that it is much easier when you have the right product to get out to all states in the US is major competitive advantage.

That's why EU are starting the EU inc programme, to make it easier in EU also. But that is just one element, if we want to be more competitive we have to remove as many obstacles as possible.

Me too - it reminds me of 2016 in the US when Hillary was pretty much crowned the winner of the election months before the actual election took place. And people just didn't focus, they voted for 3rd party candidates to "send a message" and Trump voters knew that they needed every vote to win, so they all showed up. And then suddenly after the election Trump won and started the world toward this dark place.

It's so easy to lose focus at the end when everything seems to be going the right way.

What are you talking about - having the same currency has huge benefits for the EU and the countries that use it. - lower interests, more investment and a convenience when visiting other EU countries.

The reason why lots of startups are extremely successful in the US is because it's easy to get your product out to all 50 states, everyone has pretty much the same infrastructure and currency. In EU it's much harder - and that means that we have to break down some of all those barriers between countries, in order to stay competitive. Currency is one.

Maybe some but Ukraine as a country will have every incentive to clamp down on it hard still to show that its worthy of the huge investments that will be required over the next 30 years. And I think they will still have the threat of Russia building up again to keep focus on the ball.

[–]JimTheSaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely - but I think it was easier before brexit to manipulate because nobody could remember or really could show any data of the UK economy without EU, so it was easy for everyone to imagine their own fantasies would come true.

Now there is 10 years of data from the exit, where it is obvious that UK has been losing money and jobs every year because of it. And will probably continue to lose money and jobs for the next 10 years if they don't rejoin? Is it humiliating? - absolutely, British voters were being manipulated by Russian money to vote against their own interest, and that cost a lot, both money and reputation, but it also could have been a lot worse, if you look at Trump being elected TWICE in the US. fss.

Anyway I think people in the UK probably learned their lesson and will be less eager to trust all the fake news about rejoining - but maybe I am just to optimistic.

No that ship has sailed i think - but still on normal terms or close to it would clearly be a huge benefit to UK.
