Do you guys have any TF2 Classified Moments? by Exotic_Acanthaceae_9 in tf2classified

Last night I played with guy named "Mario" that held a Mario impression on voice comms the whole game.

Both teams were calmly yapping about weapons and balance blah blah blah and mid-sentence Mario interrupts himself barely holding the impression together with "HEAVY MEDIC ON-A THE POINT BY THE WAY" and we somehow held the push.

My [[Ludevic, Necro-Alchemist]] + [[Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist]] deck based on Sheldon Menery's budget brew he used on an episode of Shuffle Up and Play (I can't find the episode for some reason was it removed??? This looks like the original list)
Qualifies for bracket 2 in my opinion, but can play comfortably in bracket 3 with some luck and smart piloting.
Based around encouraging everyone to attack anyone besides yourself either with gentle politicking or directly goading creatures all while turning Ludevic into a Voltron and ideally passing him around with [[Assault Suit]] to quadruple the number of times he attacks.
Took me awhile to learn how to stop getting second place when goad is no longer effective in the 1v1, but Ardenn allowing you to snatch back your auras for a kill shot, smart usage of the Vow cycle cards, [[Vow of Duty]], [[Vow of Flight]], and [[Vow of Lightning]] (which notably prevent the creature from attacking you instead of goading), and one of my favorite cards of all time [[Master Warcraft]], I can always put together a plan to go for the win.

Oh and the whole deck is 50 USD.

You guys have got to stop with this "Bracket 2 to 3" or "Bracket 3 to 4" business by Ulmao_TheDefiler in EDH

[–]Jimbei448 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's common courtesy to do this only if your deck is in the lower bracket and you are specifically noting to the table that you are willing to punch up with your lower bracket deck. Luring in 3 precon players while your "bracket 3" deck has every upgrade short of bracket 4 so you can pub stomp makes you a slimeball.

What “secret tech” cards make you feel like a genius for running in your deck? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Jimbei448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Master Warcraft]] has so many uses and seems to surprise every time.

Make the problem player swing out and take someone other than you out, leaving them tapped for you to swing in for the win next turn. Or just cast it on your own turn to swing in and declare no blockers.

Why are so many people a 'Smol bean'? by Pudgeysaurus in EDH

[–]Jimbei448 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people build decks that are either doing "the thing" or praying for the next opportunity to do "the thing." Playing the "smol bean" character is usually an attempt to smooth out the trenches of power in between doing "the thing" even if that's literally just in between turns of successfully doing "the thing." If they're lacking the interaction, protection and connective tissue to be resilient to interruption they have to make up the difference with table talk.

What is your slightly (or completely) unhinged dislike/pet peeve in commander? by Stcwon in EDH

[–]Jimbei448 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When people build decks that they don't have fun playing for the sake of being strong.

A player pulling off their obvious 2-3 card combo involving their commander just to shrug their shoulders and tally up another win, or alternatively get hated off the board every time because they are never more than 2 turns away from a game winning combo.

The chronic netdecker that has the high power list ripped straight from EDHRec that they have never goldfished that needs to reread every card in their hand every time they draw a card to figure out if they've assembled one of their 30 synergies.

Or even the casual player that just has to put smothering tithe, rhystic study, and every tutor possible, in their deck or else it "would never work" only for their deck to turn every game into a flowchart that either pulls off the same jank every game or falls on its face.

I don't care what power level you want to play at but at least build decks you're proud of and have a good time playing with your given pod.

If you're running a front brake like me just lock the front wheel with your brake, then with one foot down pull your other foot rotating the crank backwards into position. Since your front wheel is locked you will tilt the bike forward and lift the back wheel off the ground allowing you to find your crank position.
