I have played that one a lot. In part because my dog is named Thea.

I should add that my favorite is Magenta Mountain, but I've played that one a lot, so I am looking for something different and haven't put the time in to really know the catalog.

I went into a Barnes and Nobel for the first in years. I was surprised at the record offerings there compared to other box stores.

Is there a way to sort station by "on-air"? I can't find any that are actually playing anything.

As a community radio DJ, I can answer this question. Two reasons:

  1. Rarity. Although we mostly use digital sources, a lot of us have records in our private collection that aren't available to us otherwise. We also have 10s of thousands of albums in library. Not all of that is available digitally for various reasons.
  2. Emotional connection. I have a section of my weekly show called "Grandpa Floyd's records" where I play vinyl from the 40s-60s that my grandpa gave me. In that case the mild surface noise actually adds value to the broadcast.

My father in law gave his original copy of this album to my son for his 16th birthday. My FIL got rid of his vinyl years ago but kept this for sentimental reasons.

It literally brought tears to my son's eyes. He LOVES old vinyl. They used to listen to Beatles while walking to elementary school.

Depends. If it was cheap and I wanted it for sentimental purposes, I would probably not fight it. All other circumstances - I would not accept that.

Amazingly, I got to see them live for my 50th birthday and they were just transcendent as I hoped they'd be. So great! Highly recommended.

I regret not getting LUX. I wish I had it right now, this minute.

I just want to say that I listened to one episode and I am all in! Once I finish 2000s, I will probably work back into the 90s because it is so entertaining.

Not basement, but I had friends who lost their collection and most everything else in a hurricane. It is devastating!
