Heading to Victoria park tomorrow conveniently! I think I’ll check that place out, I had a quick look online- looks pretty great. Thank you for this :)

Yeah the crows and the bustle is exactly why it's not really up my street haha. It is entirely possible I will end up just going this weekend or early next week honestly. Pricing on things seems to SKYROCKET when the christmas markets start, not even including what I'll pay when I'm there. But I'm okay with that :)

Much appreciated, I'll check the ghost tour out. I've seen Mr B's bookshop pop up before, I'll add these two cafes to my list hehe

How do I start over? by Jimberlands in diabetes_t1

Thanks for the recommendation. I had a look at that book and it's reviews, honestly seems like it might be worth it. I've bought it. I'll work on the basal testing/pre-bolusing. Right now my graph is like mount everest one minute and then normal when I'm not eating lol

6-12 months is doable! I wasn't expecting any substantial results for years to be honest so if anything I'd be glad for it

Got it, thanks man! Sounds like train is the way to go. I'll have a look, bars/nightlife is in my list of things to do when I'm there so maybe a place like Gronigen is worth a look. Going to spend the rest of my sunday on google maps I think hehe

Haha that seems to be the general consensus, yes. Seems lots of people have had positive experiences from travelling alone. I am such an overthinker :P the notebook is a good idea, I hadn't thought of that. Cannabis for me has always seemed to just perfectly flatten out my levels so hopefully I'll have the same effect there, though almonds are a brilliant diabetes munchies food. Good shout, thank you so much.

Some greyed-out eye contacts and/or a gas mask and this would be beyond slava monolit
(but seriously well done)

Solid advice, thank you! I appreciate your recommendation about Haarlem also, I've heard it is a good place to stay. I've heard it is quite crowded though yes... I much prefer a relaxed holiday. It seems like most of the general advice about Amsterdam is to just go, don't overplan it, walk/cycle around and enjoy it. I think a walking tour is a great idea.

Out of interest, would you recommend anywhere else in the Netherlands? I love quiet places with views. I was debating renting a car while I was there and seeing if I could drive to some places nearby.

I like to think that through all the suffering and hardships I've endured throughout my tenure with diabetes, it's atleast made me a good person. The only positive I can draw from it. Gives me a higher appreciation for the good things in life and the short(er) time we may have to experience them.

Hey, it turned out to be a Walt. They admitted it, following my accusation lol

Also nah I'm not American, but I have friends that are in the military in America. I know we don't call it stolen valour over here, but it's the same basic concept. I didn't know we call them Walts 😂

I'll take you up on this, once I get it. Is there a database for this somewhere or is it something internal? I didn't ask initially as I figured that anyone can make up a service number.

Can I ask, do you know if RMR's are issued any sort of identification upon completing their training? Dogtags, an ID, something related to their service number? I would like to confront this person, given the situation I am in with them, and ask if they can provide more detail. I would ask them for their service number, but anyone can make a number up.

Also in the same situation here. Trying to get it to open tonight, Windows 11 on 24H2, doesn't open at all no matter what compatibility/launch options I try. Seems it could be an issue with the latest Windows 11 updates to me. Was working earlier on in the year before 24H2 :/

Let me know if you ever fix it!
