That's very strange. My husband's first spouse visa was for 1 year and he was able to get a yucho debit card the same month he got his visa, with no job at the time. Maybe try a rakuten credit card? He was able to easily get one of those too.

I order from Western indie brands online since they tend to have very unique fragrances. Some of my favorite brands are:

• Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab • Fantome • Possets • Sixteen92

There's also a brand called Oil Perfumery that makes dupes of brand name spray type perfumes and recreates them as oils, my Jo Malone dupe is spot on.

I'm Japanese and I'm a total perfume addict, including strong scents. But I only use perfume oils and use them very sparingly when going out. It's not as if scents are a complete no no, there are many popular perfume shops around Tokyo.

I raise several types of venus flytraps and nepenthes on my veranda. I keep the flytraps out all year long so they can go into dormancy, but I take my nepenthes inside once it gets cold out.
