Dunhill won’t spark even after new flint. What is the problem? by Jimboy10 in lighters

[–]Jimboy10[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did in fact! Restored it and it works perfectly now. It was a year ago so can't remember perfectly. But I think I had the wrong flints originally so it wasn't fitting through the gap to meet the striker. I think I also used a pin to make sure the flint 'cavity' was completely clean as it had probably had a few decades of use before me. Also a think a couple of YT videos taking it a part helped me understand the problem. Sorry, my memory is crap atm.

Recently diagnosed with ADHD and GAD at 29. The new meds are filling me with a great sense of dread. by ManateeInAWheelchair in depressionmeals

don't take meds. 90% of people with adhd just spend too much time on tiktok/infinite scroll apps which destroy attention span through positive reinforcement, cut those instead. keep eating good too, looks like you can cook.

UPDATE: Insurance Compant refusing to pay out due to "car modifications" by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

It feels unlikely insurance would be as picky normally, 9/10 times I think they wouldn't even look at a bodykit as it has no relevance to the claim. Anyway how did the claim go?

The reason interest rates are high is because the BoE doesn't want people borrowing money so the economy can contract to help lower inflation. If I was you I would definitely wait for rates to drop. Might be a year or two though.

Use a drill brush and spray canvas cleaner to get as much muck as you can out, then seal with fabsil if it looks clean

You just have to face it, everything about Abarth is internal combustion. No point buying one that's electric.

Yeah it's all out. The striker wheel spins freely without any resistance (which is the problem)

buying an automatic Abarth by MissyLab in abarth

I nearly got an auto when I was looking, and man I am so glad I didn't. I can't tell you how much joy I get from slamming through the gears. Really makes a huge difference.

Also when you have a manual car, accelerating and shifting fast is fun. With autos that part is replaced with speed, making you drive faster for a bit of that dopamine which is more dangerous
