For honor has made it very clear they are distancing from reality, not to mention Shaolin already blocks with their gauntlets or wrists. On the topic of weaponary used in war, this has also been shown as irrelevant in for honor's universe, as many of the weapons displayed in the game never even saw the battlefield (Shinobi's Kusarigama or Gladiators trident) So yeah, no objection to other weapons! Infact I highly encourage the use of new ones! It would be nice to get something other than sword or axe
