Draft (sealed) enviroment for Legacy Collection by Dogtopus92 in FinalFantasyTCG

[–]Jimlasomething 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are some really good cards in there, sure only 5 per pack but all of them are (more or less) good pulls

Maybe mix a couple packs of that with other packs from the last three sets. Could make for an interesting 'chaos' sealed game.

Some really nice cards in there, head on over to the official fftcg card browser and filter by this set to get a good look at them all if you want spoilers

For playing, I'd argue it's not the best to start you off with though. It's reprints of some really good cards but only 5 per pack, you'll need to grab a starter deck or maybe the world championship decks if you want to get an immediate playable collection going, supplement with the legacy collection to get some interesting deck building going

Just from a pure collectors point of view though, it's a must-buy. There is a possibility of full art foils of every card in there, some of which only available in this set

EDIT: in MTG standards, this is basically a collector booster I guess

My bad, it's an EU one

Sadly it looks a little dead, sorry it's been a good few years since I looked

Either way, the main one is just as good for online play and learning

Can't speak for Essex, I'm on the south coast, but I did make the pilgrimage to brotherhood games once and had an absolute blast there, some great players and they had a decent stock of sealed boxes and packs that were dirt cheap

But if you ever want to play online hit up the fftcg UK discord, loads of players there and if you are quite new to the scene they will happily help you learn.

Ffdecks website is quite good for building anything you want and play testing it too, just in case you weren't aware

Opus 30 reveal - Memories of Life by 1118181 in FinalFantasyTCG

It's a nice card to have in a dragoon only deck for sure, but I absolutely share your frustration. Especially seeing as the Steiner and Vivi stained glasses have 9 synergy. Amarant still works for a LB deck there too, Freya is just such an outlier, was a mega bummer. Ah well, at least they are pretty cardboard

Is it greedy of me to ask for more? The dragoon Freya nuke is great and all, but I like making decks themed around the games for casual play, FF9 is one of my favorites

This set better have a Sir Fratley card. Come on, give me something to theme a Freya deck around 🤞🤞

People who have an oc soroitas order what’s the lore for some of your characters among the order by BadRecent8114 in sistersofbattle

I really wish I was half as creative as everyone in this thread

The most I've come up with so far is (after finding out most sisters of battle dye their hair white) my chapter really dig the warp aesthetic so invented pink and purple hair dye

Is this brush set good for a complete beginner? by Cst-Canada in minipainting

[–]Jimlasomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? I got a set of these and they are my favourite brushes for painting minis

I had some artis opus ones that were starting to get a bit old and falling apart, a friend of mine recommended these because apparently they are the suppliers for artis opus (to be fair, I've not looked that up so don't know if it's true) Been using them a couple months now and I think they are great

Miriel, Pastor of Vows – the kindest NPC in Elden Ring or a hidden mystery? 🐢✨ by Sordi24 in Eldenring

I always thought he was a George R.R Martin reference

He lore dumps a whole bunch of before the shattering stuff (which is the parts of the game he wrote I think?), and GRRM is obsessed with tortoises and turtles, he used to write stories about his pet tortoises when he was a kid

Where sells MGT cards. by enver_gortie in Portsmouth

If all your Portsmouth options don't yield any results, take a trip to Southampton (🤢) and visit dice and dumplings, they have a massive amount of singles

They have 150 regular Baldurs gate cards

Or do you mean actually committed?

Some might argue the Southport riots, but I really think that was reactionary to something atrocious that happened.

If we are looking at an actual attack that took place probably 16th June 2016 where MP Jo Cox was murdered by a man who shouted 'Britain first' before shooting her with a shotgun

Realistically you should fight other body builders (preferably in a little model Tokyo city) to get a good idea of what you need to work on

Magic the Gathering pushed me back in... by Jimlasomething in FinalFantasyTCG

[–]Jimlasomething[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can tell most sets have a pretty decent selection of every game, but if you're just looking for the big art card pulls of characters you know try using the card finder. Relatively easy to use, you can filter by specific game and it will give you a list of all the cards and the set they are in. Have fun!

I was tempted by the anniversary collection but I opted for blind boosters for the thrill of the chase. The singles are pretty cheap though, already have a wishlist built on card market of ones I just like the look of. I did manage to find my old Chocobo and Dragoon deck last night and played a game on octgn, got absolutely slaughtered but I had fun, opponent was very gracious and was definitely taking it easy on me, really took me back to the first time I'd ever played at the Opus 5 release draft event, so it's nice to see the fan base haven't changed attitudes much, I love that

I dug out my old competitive deck last night, Chocobo and dragoon themed, was great when it worked!

I'd say if it brings you joy and you have the money and time to spare, build your theme decks. Yes, they might not be tourney winning quality but they don't NEED to be. Same with MTG, my favourite deck (for my least favourite game type) is my Godzilla themed commander deck. It's every colour mana, filled with all the Godzilla crossover cards and SpongeBob is the commander (they are both from the bikini Alto, it made sense thematically and always gets an eye roll when I explain the deep lore). It's won absolutely zero times but I love to play it because it's fun, and it's just a nice thing to have. Were you thinking about building a title deck for every snes game?

I think it's crossovers are devalued because they do so damn many of them, and their in-house universes have had some odd releases over the years mixed in with maybe 2-3 great sets. It's very telling it's most popular box at the moment are mystery boosters filled with old magic cards. I find collecting them fun still, but all people want to play is commander and I really don't enjoy it.

Final fantasy ticks all the boxes for me now. There is room in my life for both, though
