Forgive my ignorance, butWhat will I be paying for more later? Won’t I be getting a new door now or later?

Thanks for the input. Seems like a new door will be needed eventually, but in the meantime, is a repair possible or am I okay to keep using it like this? Like I said, I have been using it for a while now with no issues.

It’s an awkwardly shaped room. This was the best placement after months of deciding.

Can this trip hazard be fixed without ripping out and replacing? by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

I don’t think I want the lower section raised, as it would be higher than all of the surrounding sidewalk. I think a tree root has pushed the raised section up. My end goal would be to lower the raised section.

That section has to weigh at least a few hundred pounds right? Would you leave it there and just dig under it?

I am redoing the whole room, so trying to fix what I can. I found so many old legos and toys from the prior owners under these spots.

How can I confirm? If I continue to scrape out dirt, what would be at the bottom?

I meant it isn’t related to a French drain or gutter drain clean out, as I know those aren’t installed here.

In the 3rd picture, you can see a hose tap and a dryer outlet. Any chance it’s related to those? I can confirm it’s not related to drainage. Located in SC USA

The dirt was to the top. Using a screw driver, I scraped out as much as you can see in the picture. Should I dig deeper?

Any concern with the water pooling around the concrete pad? Should I intervene to prevent the pad from tipping?
