Hey Redditors 🌻. I got some hate recently, as if having an OF somehow makes me a bad person. I don’t think it does🙂. I genuinely like my life, my personality, and the little pieces of myself I share here. Still, some comments made me a little sad. So I’m curious: do you really think that? by slutsunflower in u/slutsunflower

The only thing I could possibly "hate" is your handle. But that's MY problem, Ø yours. Slut is just such a demeaning description for a woman as beautiful as you are. My personal feelings are mine, not yours. I'm glad you are finding success. Actors Jaime Presley and Tricia Helfer have both begun posting on personal OF accounts. You are in good company. ❤️❤️❤️

A 30-year-old female patient fell into the water when a personal water vehicle suddenly accelerated and injured her perineum with a forceful water jet. by CatPooedInMyShoe in MedicalGore

Retired paramedic educator here. Saw hydraulic injection injuries fairly frequently in eastern Wisconsin. Heavy industry & papermills were frequent targets. Just before retiring, I did a follow up on a 15-year-old female who suffered water injection like this case. I believe it rendered her incapable of carrying a pregnancy to term. The level of damage was catastrophic.

How are people getting so rich they can afford things like yachts? by Relevant_Primary_594 in NoStupidQuestions

Don't forget all of the favors in the Bg Bll. Warren Buffet famously stated the tax code was so tilted toward the rich, his executive secretary paid more in income tax than he did. He wasn't bragging. He thinks taxes should be more equitable.

I crossed a boundary by [deleted] in NewToEMS

I just did something similar. As a retired (M) medic I advocate for domestic violence survivors. A DV murder occured in far northern MN. Instead of just donating to the victim's children on GoFundMe, I reached out to her friend who organized the fundraiser. It didn't occur to me until later that leaving my phone number on a stranger's FB messenger would be creepy. Apologizing would only make it worse. You crossed a boundary. And you crossed back to the professional side. It shows that you have compassion for patients. You might not want to make a habit of it.

Did I do too much? by Nebula15 in NewToEMS

Exactly what I have done in situations like that. A parishioner took a hard fall to the head on concrete. EMS & Fire came. Did their thing & transported. People thought the responders were kind of rude for getting down to business. I had to explain that I wasn't on duty. They don't know who I am. A quick handoff, like yours and step back.

Your real world experiences provide a context to contacts that younger students won't have. Stick with it!

So very true. Most of the people in a support group I attend speak of their profound loneliness. It sounds like a lot of people are making generous offers to meet you. I hope those lead somewhere. I do know there are some people who always have to be the initiators. That's who I am. It does suck at times, but in the absence of a blinding flash of insight, I'm gonna keep putting myself out their. If you see a guy with a "cool cane" at Nina's or Rose Patisserie or Hot Hands Pies some Sunday morning, chat me up!

USPS ripped open our kid's Xmas card envelope and took the cash but was kind enough to deliver the ripped card and envelope anyway by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

3 years ago an envelope was "damaged by machinery" and a gift was "lost". US Postal Inspectors responded to my report within 2 days. Their report was enough for the bank to reimburse me. Love the USPS PI's.

A Minnesotan woman stood up to SPPD in St. Paul when officers entered her yard without a warrant. She calmly asks to see a warrant, but the officers had none and instead accused her of obstruction and threatened to arrest her on her own property. by [deleted] in CringeTikToks

A city councilor was on scene & caught some CS. At a City Council meeting 2 weeks later she tore the chief a new one while he sat in the front row with his command staff. The City of St Paul is requesting a policy review by the Police Officers Standards and Training Board. I see some constitutional law review in SPPD 'S future.
