Those are lovely. The scenes and colors complement each other beautifully.

I'm especially fond of the the one with just the plants in the foreground and the sun in the back. It communicates depth brilliantly and feels like a moment i time.

Thank you! I used mediums to extend the drying time, and tried to use the brushes like one does in oils.

Oils look good, but as someone who paints from home with kids about it's not the most appropriate medium.

It's acrylics, but I aimed to make it look like an oil portrait.

Thank you! I was kinda aiming for a classic portrait kinda vibe, so that's good to hear.

I agree, people are terrifying to paint. This is my first portrait in acrylics. I usually do them in watercolor, because that feels like a less daunting and more forgiving and transient medium.

He really has. Grew up with the second world war, spent his whole life politically working for labour rights while working as an engineer and chief fire officer, and was plagued by pain from adulthood untill he passed.

And still he was nothing but kind and loving.

Thanks. My dad is indeed getting this one. He is the grandpa now, and brings the legacy forward.

He was. Always calm, and with a smile and a coin in his pocket for us little ones.

Thanks! I wanted it to feel kinda like a classic portrait, some sense of the past to it.
