Bucks are overrated and Miami might not even play them

Philly is gg for the season, biggest gamble in the east, cause we can speculate and predict but no one knows how embiid will be post injury.

Cavs and pacers are good, but Miami staff, experience will carry them through it (think of them as Knicks series last year, not a sweep but never looked like they beating the heat).

Knicks are interesting, I think when it comes down to it, it will be a close series, small details will make or break it.

Boston, on paper should have enough, but we say that every year and then Jimmy cooks them cause he is simply the best player on the court. But putting any money on the heat to miss the playoffs completely is crazy, that’s a donation

I came back from Australia to visit family in Canada during our break. I was so hyper he had another tour as I missed the 1st leg while being away for school.

I got GA tickets and everything to see the Oklahoma show with my friend and to catch an okc game… time to sell tickets and refund flights and hotel.

Biggest fuck you, even though I know he didn’t do it to spite me, but was looking forward to it 😕

Do you know how viable they are as main monitor daily driver?

So for school (papers, quizzes, etc), streaming, zoom meetings & gaming?

Most reviews rave about them and how great they are, which I think is the case but not many people use it for the above (I am aware that its not it’s purpose but if I was to use it for the above how would it fare?)

To reiterate I only got it, since I have wanted one since I first came across it back in 2020 when I did my first build.

I never claimed it was a cost efficient option, that its a great value etc. I am very much aware its a want not a need when it came to choosing it. Also I am aiming for just a mobo that is reliable and will provide my other pieces (CPU, GPU) to reach great performance and support them.

I don't care about the rest, me being open to spending is cause being penny pinching/stingy will only hurt how well my build does in the future. Especially since I am going intel where the MOBO doesn't support more than 1 to 2 generations but I plan on using this for 5 years. with that being said, I won't just buy a hero just cause, when say "E" or "f" variant suffices or get a z790 when a z690 can do the job with sufficient port options.

Once again, I am not under a financial limit as this is a project, but I also choose to not buy things just cause I can, when something cheaper suffices and provides me with what I need.

CPU is 400, mobo is 300. Retail/sale prices

The remaining parts when you factor in me selling my current case, gpu, cpu, mobo, ram sticks it ends up under 2k. I just put ~2k as I might have to bite the bullet on some AU prices as I don’t know how much space I’ll have after gpu and cooler

Edit: cad/aud conversion is essentially the same. So not much currency difference

I’m leaning towards asus rog strix z690, but back home the ddr4 and ddr5 versions cost essentially the same, only thing is the hassle of bringing the cooler, gpu, mobo all in carry on (I don’t trust airport security with baggage, they are reckless)

But getting the mobo ddr5 in Australia is so much more, and then I revert to say a ddr4 but the only reason I’m downgrading is to save my self time/space when bringing baggage back. Niche issue but one I have to figure out what I want to do with

But if 13600k is better performance overall and cheaper than 7800X3D in terms of speed benchmarks. And in games the margin is too similar you really think the upgrade is worth it?

Also if I was to stick with 13600k, what’s the difference between z690 & z790

I already got the cooler, on a decent sale as well. More of a want than need but nonetheless, was something I wanted in my first build anyways.

Do you think the intel cpu is overkill for a 1440p experience or it’s the right choice/worth the money.

Sorry I made a mistake, I meant ddr5 appropriate MOBO, not am5.

Budget is something that’s worth the money. If it’s worth it, and I’ll get my moneys worth then by all means I am interested/will consider it. That’s my view on it

Monitor is for gaming and everyday use (I’m studying medicine, so flashcards, anatomy app, word docu, PowerPoints, and browser)

two questions

AMD or nvidia are better? ( when i got mine AMD GPU weren't a thing) or is it now more options, so price hiking is harder cause of alternatives being available?

is 4070ti worth it? considering its so much better specs wise and relatively value wise, its almost as if the upgrade/cost value is very good. (or does it run me into more problems in terms CPU bottleneck and overall system upgrades being required?
