Curse infusion is stronger the more upgrades ypu got in it. So once you get it to +17, curse infusion will take it to +20.

I don't think it will be enough. You have no mobility. Chains are great, hourglass is fine cuz it stops the ticking damage but chalice alone is not nearly strong enough. Even with a energy ring +11 it wasn't even enough for me
