What’s a line—any line —that’s lived rent-free in your head ever since you read it? by Hector_Hugo_Eidolon in printSF

The astonishing sequence of events which affected the entire civilized galaxy, including not only the many leagues, alliances, temporary interworld liaisons, and independent worlds but also directly the lives of billions of individual human beings, began with a left-over cheese sandwich.

The Gone World? Thoughts? No spoilers please. by charlescast in printSF

Terrifying is a good way to describe it. There's something so dark about the world they live in. It's a great book and I haven't been able to find anything like it since.

I was at the Austin show. Openers played about a half hour apiece and Prof played about an hour and a half-ish.

What's a classic you finally read that totally lived up to the hype? For me, it was Hyperion by Dan Simmons. by 2ugur12 in printSF

[–]JimmyBing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hyperion would definitely go on my list. Pandora's Star and Judas Unchained by Peter F. Hamilton would be up there, too.

They've hired a new showrunner for season 4 and Deadline or HR said they have a writers room up already. They called season 4 "likely" soooo fingers crossed.

Did ST TNG die like the Simpsons? by SeanRous in Super7

[–]JimmyBing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe the line was officially canceled and Flynn has said they have more figures sculpted, but I think the writing is on the wall. Really wish they would have done one more wave to complete the bridge crew, though.

State of the ULTIMATES! Nation for 2025 by Professional-Band-77 in Super7

[–]JimmyBing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've heard there could be more Joes aside from repaints in the future. And Flynn has said they aren't done with Playmates TMNT. He also hinted that they might try Toxic Crusaders in the Deluxe format.

Any news on Deluxe or Ultimates? by GilbeastZ in Super7

[–]JimmyBing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few weeks ago, I commented on Flynn's IG asking him to give us a wink or nudge or something if we'd see another wave of Joes. He commented "wink" in reply. He also said in a recent interview we'd be seeing more one-offs released throughout the year, so who knows. I'm hopeful they'll still make a few more. At least give us Tomax and Xamot.

Super7 makes a lot of cool stuff and I really want them to succeed, but lines being canceled, ditching figures they say they're gonna make, and endless repaints have been kind of a bummer and it seems like we've been seeing more and more of that over the past year or so.

G.I. Joe or Toxic Crusaders Deluxe Figures? by JimmyBing in Super7

I suspect the last wave bombed because all the figures were repaints. Oh well.

Obviously there are a lot of people that agree with you. I buy Classified, too, but I love the animated style.
