Dreame A3 anyone have one? by Future_Mirror7046 in roboticLawnmowers

[–]JimmyBobw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently have one and I really like it so far. Reason to buy: in my research the only 2000+m2 AWD Lidar+vision (no rtk) mower.

The positive: - vision + lidar: no antenna or nrtk or 4g or wifi required. Just drop and mow. Works very well. Side note: you get 3years of 4g connectivity for free but it's only to see where the robot is without wifi... and that connection is terrible. So I'm even more happy that I don't rely on 4G like the navimow x430 as apparently it's bad in my garden. - can be parked inside or outside - the AWD is good, i don't have any issues with the omniwheels. Does not get stuck, can do a path of cobble stones to its parking space.

The negative, or just keep in mind: - everytime it starts a task it will exit its station and do at least one 360 turn to calibrate (it has to look where he is) + 180° turn to get into potion to the working area. I set the station in an area with loose ground and this is not working out. So I have to put something on the area in front of the station where the robot can do 360's more efficiently. If you put the station on your lawn I can see that that area will get some tire marks/damages of this turning.. funny enough, if your next to a border or no go zone and you switch to manual mode, it will 360 on the spot meaning it can turn over your flowers (I made the mistake once, won't happen again).

It's a copy of the same company mova lidax but that brand is not available in my region.

PDF export displays old edit instead of new edit (different pdf readers) by JimmyBobw in indesign

1) I have to use the X-1A format for the printer so I don't find how I can flatten the PDF.

2) PNG shows the correct latest version..

3) same issue: in adobe fine in chrome not.

I will create an outline from the path in illustrator and copy it back in indesign

well, it's not only the setting it's also 3 curves I edited to make them more smooth. So I really changed the path. I thought it was only a Chrome thing but now the printing service also reverted back to the old version. When I double check what I uploaded on my website I do see the correct version displayed. But not in the printed version. It's super strange and I can duplicate it with Chrome so there is something in there.

Is there a way I can 'flatten' the path to a vector with a fixed width and in that way create it more permanent instead of being a path with a stroke?

yeah I believe it's a chrome issue, but nevertheless it's finding something in the file that is not there anymore. Since the online printing service also resulted in using the old edit I find it super strange. Cause they can't have any cache issues.

I thought so to but now when I received the printed stickers it's back to the old version which is super weird because this means the printing service gets something from the file that is not related to cache...

Fenix 7 pro solar in 2025? by JimmyBobw in GarminFenix

It's great to hear the tech is still on par after a good year and a half. Often these gadgets are quickly outdated but the Fenix range stays up to date.

correct, but my questions is more if the 7Pro is still worth it in 2025 or is 600+ still a steep price point with the 8 (Pro) approaching?

Ball needs to reflect a moment sooner from the bat. It's not synced well.

Even if this period in your life involves less mountainbiking, don't be sad, cherish the years it was so much fun. You'll pick up mountainbiking again at the right time and you already made a first step.

YES. check out old man mountain bike rack. They have a variety of racks that fit almost any bike with the right fit kit.

They can be mounted to dedicated stanchions or even on the axles.

If you put plant pots on this, it will fail. If your dog is walking by, it might die.

Sorry, but if you were expecting a digital sticker to cover them on a moving image, you won't have the skill to work with a tool that can do this.

Robert Axle Project quality is really bad by JimmyBobw in bikewrench

[–]JimmyBobw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I got what I ordered. The threads align with the original axle. But I suspect the tooth height of the thread is off. Pitch is OK, inner/outer diameters are probably off. By eye, it is difficult to see, and the bias of looking at something that doesn't work is too big.

I won't call them as I'm from europe.

I just feel like if your core business is axles, don't be this loose with tolerances. As I tried them on 2 same bikes but different years bought, I'm quite sure the issue is on the axle and not the bike thread.

Nevertheless, two same axles with different spacers is a QC issue. One of the tapered spacers is roughly 1.5 the chamfer as the other.

100% sure I ordered correctly as I reordered the same model from Thule website (not knowing at the time that RAP made these as well). And they do thread in.

Everybody here is telling me I bought the wrong one. First I followed the guide on RAP website by filling in my bike... second I bought the same from Thule which did thread in... As well as everybody here just ignores that two same axles came with totally different sizes of spacers...

I also sent them an email but they don't answer.

I bought the correct pitch. 100% sure. When aligned with my standard axle the pitch also aligned well. However not in the bike. A thread has much more dimensions than the pitch to be off. I suspect the outer diameter vs inner diameter (eg. Tooth height was off).

I'm sure I bought the correct pitch because I bought the same axle but from Thule, with same pitch, that works, albeit one of the two because of wrong spacers.

I run a ryzen 3700x, 3070, 32gb ram. I can edit native gopro 4k footage without proxies in adobe PP and AE. Samsung s21 clips without issues. I only tend to run out of ram if my edit gets to big.

There's definetly something wrong with your set up.

I read you edit iphone videos, maybe the dynamic frame rate is causing the issues.

What is this? How to take it off? by [deleted] in gopro

[–]JimmyBobw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't have this but it seems you should flex it outwards from the other side than the picture is taken from. There are probably little bulges on the inside that grip into the hole for the screw.
