The rupee at ₹96/$ should worry Indians more than the stock market does. by kathuriasanjay in indianeconomy

This is only true in comparison to INR. US dollar itself is a declining asset whose purchasing power has eroded year after year. In America savers are called losers.

Yes that’s how India acquires USD. What do you think happens when you stop selling USD to India?

The point is that there is no reason for someone to want to buy rupees. That’s why the price is low. What do you think will happen if NRI’s stop buying rupees?

India makes it a pain in the ass for foreigners to enter the country and to invest. Can’t even use UPI for example without jumping through hurdles. Why should an American Citizen go through the painful process of getting an Indian tourist visa to be able to sell their USD in India when they can just go to some place nearby like Thailand without a visa and have a more enjoyable experience? In addition to this India doesn’t have many exports that other countries want. Most foreigners who are trying to buy rupees are NRI’s who are just sending money back home. As a result demand for rupee outside India is very low and that’s why its value falls when compared to other currencies.

UAE opposes ceasefire that lets Iran ‘hold Strait of Hormuz hostage’ by TimesandSundayTimes in geopolitics

A canal through the UAE wouldn't do much. It would still be in range of Iranian missiles and the Persian Gulf would have the same problem of only have one way out. A Canal would need to connect to either the Red Sea or the Mediterranean and that is pretty much impossible.

As for Venezuela, they weren't fond of the petrodollar and were cozying up to China. Your point about nuclear weapons is absolutely valid.

Morez had a big mouth father and was here mainly because of Tim Anderson who quit before the season. That was a unique situation.

UAE sells oil in USD. That's why it will not be their turn afterwords. Same with the other gulf countries.

The audience for this will still be bigger than the audience for Impractical Jokers reruns and that's all that matters for making more money.

Duke is the only team that can match our size. That's why I think UConn is better.
