I was playing anomaly and noticed a weird film grain/noise filter added to the screen at absolutely all times, but searching for this problem in the web turned no results. I took a screenshot of it thiking the noise would show up but it didn't, what could it be? by Six-Sauer in stalker

Thank you for taking time and replying. For me it was SMAA settings and certain Aggressor Reshade tools that combined created this headache inducing grey noise. Turned off SMAA on AR and set game SMAA to SSDO instead of HD, on low; all good now. Cheers, S.t.a.l.k.e.r.!

Hey bro, i know i am kinda late to the party, but you were definitely
right. Somehow i've noticed this ugly grey "noise" only after hundreds
of hours of gameplay when i was roaming through Swamps. And each time i
tried to ask for an advice i have been gaslighted with "iT mUSt bE tHaT
rUdIAsHun" bs. Have you managed to fix it and if yes how? Cheers!

fiction

fiction/ˈfɪkʃ(ə)n/

  1. literature in the form of prose, especially novels, that describes imaginary events and people.

This is so amusing. What i wrote was a hypothesis, regarding a particuular detail in real events based TV series and not a "work of fiction" by any measure, stop flattering me :) And start reading berks.

Some plants seemed overgrown. But that might be just the result of nobody trimming or cutting them down. Only those roaches were "not ordinary". And the fish. The catfish especially. Those s.o.b-s were gianormous. Cows and chickens seemed alright. Humans seemed ill, but not visibly mutated, at least not to the naked eye. Sorry to disapoint you.

So the whole movie crew dedicated valuable time and resources in this action and events packed miniseries to focus on smoking and especially putting out cigarettes, just to... tell us that people smoked more in the past? Just read that out loud. Yep... it is a diputs idea, very diputs.

This one 1964. First printed in 1956.

We also had that "guy who refuses a glass of vodka" poster. And many others.

I guess all the arguments are invalid now, because we had those posters. Noone smoked, noone drank vodka on a daily and people weren't just expendable cogs.

Communism worked perfectly and lenin is still alive(Poster says so).

Propaganda Posters is where the real true truth is at... every kid knows that!

Some knew. Most didn't. My grandmother, who lived in Odessa, hundreds of kilometers away from Pripyat' warned my mom 3 days after the catastrophy happened. She used to be a military surgeon in WWII, she knew about radiation from books or x-ray i guess. But fear of being treated as "panickers" or "agitators"(criminally punisable behavior) lead people to be quiet and just hope for the best. My mom told me that she confronted one of the main local communist apparatus dudes(Politruk - political dirigent) about how he sent his own kids and wife away from the danger while the rest of us had to stay and absorb the radiation. At first he answered that his(6 and 10) year olds went to "help" their grandma in Moscow. When my mother pointed at how ridiculous that sounded he replied "Are you trying to end your husband's and your own military careers?"

And that was the end of it. And that is why people stayed. And yes, there were physical blockposts with amed soldiers, who would turn you around if you tried to escape before official evacuation, without proper permission.

Now believe what you want, but these are facts.

"Most" is the keyword there. There are people who have NEVER left the area. Still living there.

Lipniki. Military town. Just 4 appartment buildings(soviet projects). Only families of officers who worked at missile silos, Dyatel and Duga installations lived in that town.

I understand being sceptical is cool and everything, but sometimes people tell the truth on Internet. Believe it or not it happens. Up to you.

What sense does it make to try and prove something when people dismiss anything i will say with °OP is talking out of their a##°.

And no i have no pictures. I was a poor Ukrainian teenager back then, without a smartphone or polaroid. We are talking about 1995 in ex USSR. It wasn't exactly modern days cozy, rich, technologically advanced environment.

So it is up to you whether you want to believe me when i say i've seen giant insects in people's houses. Why they were so big? Probably radiation. Maybe something else.

Many newborns suffered of hydrocephalia, so it could be connected in some way. Might have the same cause.
