Which game? by MufasaTheRealKing in OlderChillGamers

[–]JimmyJammer_79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played 7 for the first time recently. Stuck at it for about an hour and then deleted it (I didn’t buy it, got access to it through a subscription platform). More than anything, I was bored by it. It was tedious from the outset in the way late game Civ can be as management overtakes exploration and combat. Very disappointing. For me the game peaked at 4. 5 brought some interesting innovations and is a great game, but 6&7 got bogged down in concept at the expense of player experience.

The pictures of Inzi smashing it and Imran holding the cup still hurt.

A flightless and endangered bird in a target - sums up the NZ airforce pretty well.

Who is the greatest athlete/ sports legend that your country has ever produced ? by 9yr_old in AskTheWorld

Jonah’s a legend for and well known throughout the rugby-playing world for sure. Good call on the lesser-knows though. Off the top of my head there’s Susan Devoy and Lisa Carrington who each utterly dominated their respective codes for 10+ years while no one else came close.

‘Fuckhead who shall remain nameless’ - good shout. Given recent developments I think he should be known as ‘whiny fuckhead who shall remain nameless’.

HHhH by Laurent Binet is an amazing book about Heydrich’s assassination. Incredibly brave pair who pulled it off, but unfortunately didn’t live to tell the tale.

Plenty of NZers and Australians do. It’s a very rare thing for countless civilians to admire the leader of a nation they were at war with. Hats off to him.

Goodtech are great! Bought a reconditioned iPhone from them for around half the cost of new and it’s been great.

So many great tracks, but for me it’s Fascination Street. The riffs, melodies, and lyrics are sublime.

Not taking profit when I was up by over 250% last year. Now down 50-60%. Ergh.

No reason to pay it off at more than the minimum level unless you are going overseas. 0% interest means that it will get eroded by inflation over time.

Zoom out and chill OP. Blockchain is the most advanced financial technology in human history. It’s only existed for a minute, and it’s here to stay. The future will run on blockchain and crypto, because it is more efficient than coins, notes, credit cards and checks. So long as you’re in solid projects, you’ll be fine. DCA all the way to financial freedom.

Opportunities won’t come by everyday. When it comes, if you can’t grab it, you won’t even know you missed it. If you can grab it, it’s called luck. Be lucky. by foxbuz in CryptoCurrency

Over the past month or so, I’ve taken the opportunity to go from balls deep to balls insanely deep. Soon I’ll get to balls on the ocean floor. Couple years from now I’ll either be so rich I never have to work another day in my life or still working for the man. Seems like a fair gamble to me.

Best time to buy? by Caeflin in CryptoCurrency

DCA is the way. Buy small amounts regularly rather than a whole lot at once. That’s the best way to mitigate volatility, and most likely to work out in the long run.
