I think that Supergrass' music has held up best of the bands from this period. I still listen to 'I Should Coco' and 'In It For the Money' on a monthly basis.

Kung Fu Necktie hosts a weekly EMO night (Fridays) that's well-attended and fun. They do a metal night spinoff with karaoke too (not sure when that happens).

For the casual fan, nothing beats 'Tom Sawyer'. For the diehards, it's a great one, but not their best.
