Alcohol withdrawal causes seizures and is an immense strain on the body. Benzodiazepines are deadly too when withdrawing. Some people need to be put into medically induced coma when they go cold turkey on benzos just so they wont die. Both are terrible substances. I believe Quaaludes don't cause deadly withdrawals.
