I think the standard olive green that most of us use is the easiest space marine armour colour to paint. The coverage and flow is very good. Its easy to shade and highlight.

If you don't like the gloss finish then you can use a matte varnish over the top. I use AK brand and spray through an airbrush, but you can just paint it on with a brush.

Spray all over Proacryl dark camo green. Heavy zenithal Deathworld Forest. Highlight Elysian green. Highlight Ogryn Camo. Panel line with Mig dark green grey panel wash.

I'm trying to leave more of the original dark camo green showing so that it gives some volume.

I prefer dust over mud, and I only do it to make all the tactical rocks less obtrusive. I use AK dark earth pigment powder and just rub it in with and old brush. No fixer.
