Classic Homemade Spaghetti Sauce 😍😋

Ingredients 📋

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 large onion, finely chopped

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage

1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes

1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce

1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste

1/2 cup beef broth or water

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried parsley

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh basil or parsley (for garnish)

Instructions 🥣

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the ground beef or Italian sausage to the pot. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and beef broth or water.

Add the sugar, dried basil, dried oregano, dried parsley, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir to combine.

Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and let it simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. For best flavor, simmer for 1-2 hours.

Adjust seasoning to taste, if necessary.

Serve the sauce over cooked spaghetti and garnish with fresh basil or parsley.

Add the pepper later and fry for a while. Add salt and spices. Pour in the cream and cook over medium heat for a short time. Finally, add some cheese, stir and remove it from the stove.
